Baihua Mountain is a branch of Xiaowutai Mountain at the northern end of Taihang Mountain. The mountains extend in the northeast direction, connecting Baicao Bank to the south and Laolongwo to the northeast. The main peak is 1,991 meters above sea level. It is known as Baihua Tuo because of its colorful natural landscape and rich ecological resources. With fresh air and pleasant climate, it has been a tourist and summer resort in the suburbs of Beijing since ancient times. It is known as "a famous ecological mountain in the suburbs of Beijing and a green home for mankind". Baihuashan National Nature Reserve was established in 1985. It is located in the deep mountains at the junction of Fangshan District and Mentougou District in Beijing. It has a total area of ​​2.17 hectares, of which the core area is 0.68 hectares. It is a forest ecosystem type nature reserve and is the current largest area in Beijing. The largest nature reserve for higher plants and rare wild animals, with rich animal and plant resources, it is known as the "natural animal and botanical garden" in North China.

Attractions distribution:

Baihuashan Mountain is mainly formed due to volcanic eruptions and erosion. The mountain is tall and straight. The main peak Baihuashan is 1991 meters above sea level. The highest peak Baicaopan is 2050 meters above sea level. It is the third highest peak in Beijing. Baihua Mountain has a long history. As early as the Five Dynasties period, Li Keyong of the Later Tang Dynasty built a pavilion here for war needs. In the Ming Dynasty, Baihua Mountain was at its peak, with temples such as the Dragon King Temple and Ruiyun Temple built. The ruins still exist today. The scenic resources in the mountain can be divided into four major scenic spots: Baihua Mountain Main Peak Scenic Area, Baihua Mountain Meadow Scenic Area, Wanghai Tower Scenic Area, and Baicao Pan Scenic Area, including "Baihua Cao Bank", "Baihua Mountain Waterfall", "Wannian Bingji", "Ancient "Tree holding up the sky", "Sunrise on the top of the clouds", "Ice wall rock pillar", "Ice edge castle", "Rising clouds", "Sunset reflecting green", "Seven-color jade belt", "Golden toad worshiping the moon", "Ant mountain" There are eighteen unique landscapes such as "White Mang Roaring" and "Pine Corridor".

How to get there:

By bus: Take bus No. 892 from the west side of Pingguoyuan Metro to Baihuashan (direction to Huangta Zhangjiapu). There are two trips every day at 9:00 am and 4:30 pm.

By car: Jingshi Expressway → Fangshan Exit → Tuoli → 108 National Highway → Turn right at Jiayukou intersection towards Shijiaying.
