Introduction to the main hall of Congting Hall: The wood carvings in front of the hall mostly use allusions to dramatic characters. The door between the two compartments is engraved with the story of "The Romance of the West Chamber" about "Yingying burns incense and worships the moon, and Zhang Sheng peeks at the jade through the door." The waist lock in the middle is engraved with four poetic lines from Bai Juyi's "Pipa Xing".
