Introduction to "Water Margin": "Water Margin", also known as "Water Margin of Loyalty", generally referred to as "Water Margin", was written in the late Yuan and early Ming dynasties. It is one of the four famous works in China and was written by Shi Naian , compiled by Luo Guanzhong. The work takes the uprising led by Song Jiang as the main theme. It is also the first chapter novel written in vernacular in Chinese history, setting a precedent for chapter novels in vernacular.
