Black Dragon Pond is one of the main attractions in the Taihang Mountain Grand Canyon and is part of the Wuzhi Gorge Scenic Area. It is named because it is said that there is a black dragon entrenched here. The water here is clear and flows all year round. People can not only enjoy the pool under the precipitous cliffs, but also the river bed left by the erosion of the river for hundreds of millions of years. Living here is like walking into a natural history museum. Black Dragon Pool is elegant and quiet. The pool is made of neat large sandstone strips and is octagonal. It is said that the Black Dragon King here married a daughter-in-law from Niushan Village, so the elders said that Niushan people should call the Dragon King uncle when they come here. It is said that every time there is a severe drought, people come here to pray for rain, but the person praying for rain must be a dragon or snake, because the person guarding the Black Dragon Pool is a black dragon. It is also said that praying for rain and bringing good spirits is here. In the old days, Zhu Guan, a man named Zhu in Zezhou Prefecture, ordered to sing official operas here in order to thank the Black Dragon King. How to get there:
(Self-driving tour reminder) Huguan Taihang Mountain Canyon Group is located at the junction of Shanxi and Henan. If you are friends from Shandong and east of Henan,
you don’t have to go to Huguan in Changzhi, Shanxi. You can go from Linzhou, Anyang, Henan or Baligou Scenic Area in Huixian, Xinxiang. The scenic spot is 23 kilometers away from Linzhou
and 42 kilometers away from Huixian County. The roads are also very smooth.
(Car) Take a bus from Changzhi Passenger Transport Center Station to Huguan County. After getting off the bus, take a taxi or charter a car to the scenic spot. The price of a chartered car
is generally 200 yuan/ Sky (7-seater facet).

The entrance fee is 8 yuan, and the ticket price for the Black Dragon Pond Scenic Area is 50 yuan.
