Introduction to the square: The bronze sculpture "Maintain" in the center of the square was created and designed by Qian Dajing, a famous Chinese sculpture master, and under the artistic direction of Academician Qi Kang. The front is engraved with the calligraphy of Premier Zhou Enlai - "The Pillar", and the back is engraved with General Secretary Hu Jintao's speech at the meeting commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Anti-Japanese War. This sculpture vividly demonstrates the heroic spirit of our New Fourth Army who bravely resisted the enemy and sacrificed their lives for the country.
