Introduction to the Kaishan Hall: The largest hall on the mountain, dedicated to the founder of Daigoji Temple - Master Shengbo Rigen. It was originally called Mikagedo. It was built in the 11th year of Yanxi by Kanxian, the first generation abbot of Daigoji Temple, a disciple of Master Rigen. It was later burned down. The buildings rebuilt in the Kamakura period were also abandoned. The existing Kaisan Hall was rebuilt by Toyotomi Hideyori in the 11th year of Keicho.
