Introduction to Jogyo-do and Hokke-do: Jogyo-do and Hokke-do were destroyed by fire in April 1597 during Keicho's reign, and Jogyo-do was rebuilt in 1728. Some festivals and other events were held in other temples, and the Jōkyūdō became the main hall and was designated as a national important cultural property.
