Apple Church Introduction: Apple Church (Elmali Church) is located on an upright rock, so there is no gate and you must enter through a narrow rock shelter. The church was built from the mid-11th century to the early 12th century. It has 4 pillars, 9 small domes, 1 large dome and 3 semicircular niches. The original murals inside the church, several of which only have ocher lines and geometric figures, to worship God, are left over from the period of prohibition of idolatry from 725 to 842 AD.
