Introduction to Mirani Castle: Mirani is located on the rocks in the west of Muscat Port, standing on the side of the Al-Alam Palace. The castle was originally built by the Portuguese in the early 16th century and was named after their Portuguese ancestors. During the 60 years that the Portuguese occupied Oman, they used the castle as their main stronghold. The most striking feature of the castle is undoubtedly its oval turret, which is 26.5 meters high from sea level to the top of the city wall. In addition, the intricate and charming passages in the castle are also very distinctive.
