Shanxi Cao Family Courtyard, also known as "Sanduotang", is a mansion belonging to the Cao family, a wealthy Shanxi merchant. It is located in Beiwang Village, 5 kilometers southwest of Taigu County, Shanxi Province, and is adjacent to National Highway 108. The courtyard covers an area of 10,600 square meters, and the overall layout is in the shape of "Shou". The architectural style of the house is antique, the north and south are harmonious, the structure is unique, and it is majestic and tall. It can be called "the wonder of Chinese residential houses". At the same time, there are many cultural relics in the courtyard and it has been turned into Sanduotang Museum. Taigu Sanduotang Museum has 277 houses and has a history of more than 400 years. On May 25, 2006, the Cao Family Courtyard, as an ancient building from the Ming to Qing Dynasties, was approved by the State Council to be included in the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units.

The architecture of Sanduotang can be called a wonder of Chinese folk houses, but the treasures displayed in Sanduotang are the stamens. It displays four major projects and 12 contents, thousands of cultural relics and crafts, thousands of photos, coupled with paintings, calligraphy, models and modern lighting and sound effects, which better reflects the general appearance of the Cao family in its heyday. Sanduotang Museum mainly displays four major exhibitions: the business history of the Cao family, the Ming and Qing antique furniture exhibition, the porcelain exhibition, and the treasure hall. In addition, Sanduotang also displays more than 40 authentic calligraphy works by the great calligrapher Zhao Tieshan of the Qing Dynasty, the history of the development of Xingyiquan, root carving art exhibition, Taigu Palace Lantern Exhibition, and Taigu County History exhibitions.
