Scenic spot introduction:

The former site of Zuo Quan's Eighth Route Army headquarters in Matian was once the political, military, economic and cultural center of North China during the Anti-Japanese War. It is now the thematic memorial hall with the largest exhibition area, the most cultural relics, the most comprehensive content and the most advanced display methods among the red tourist attractions in Shanxi Province. Matian Town is located in an important pass in the three provinces of Shanxi, Hebei and Henan. It is easy to defend but difficult to attack. It is known as "the key to Shanxi and the barrier to Shanxi". During the Anti-Japanese War, the Eighth Route Army headquarters was stationed in Matian for five years.
