Introduction to Baoyun Tower: It was built in the Sui Dynasty and was originally called "Qingtian Tower". Later, it was renamed because it was located in the Baoyun Temple. The tower has a total of nine floors, with a brick and wood structure. It is an octagonal pyramid in the shape of a pavilion-style building. It is 32.64 meters high and has a base circumference of 28.8 meters. It adopts a construction technique that combines outer edges and inner climbing. Each floor is in the style of a bracket. They are different but not identical, reflecting the superb architectural art of the ancient working people.
The original temples around Baoyun Pagoda were flooded several times during the Ming and Qing Dynasties and were eventually destroyed. They were rebuilt on the original site in 1994. The stone tablet in front of the pagoda records the four repairs during the Ming and Qing dynasties. The existing ancient pagoda has been identified as being in the style of the Song Dynasty. It underwent a large-scale repair in 1980 after the founding of the People's Republic of China. It can be said that it has gone through many vicissitudes but still retains its grace.
