Tianshan Wildlife Park is located at the foot of Tianshan Mountain, Chaiwopu Woertu Valley in Dabancheng District, covering an area of 75 square kilometers and about 25 kilometers from the urban area. travelling guideline:
1. If you have a car, it is recommended to drive there by yourself. Not only are the tickets cost-effective, but it is also very convenient to visit. You don’t have to wait for people. You can see wherever you want and play for as long as you want.
2. Bring less water. The temperature in the mountains is low, so you generally don’t feel thirsty. There are small shops everywhere and the prices are not very expensive. Bringing your own water is cumbersome, especially when walking or going to the observation deck (except by car). You can also bring some biscuits with you to cushion your stomach. If you want to visit everything, it will take about 6 hours; if you only visit the highlights, it will take 4 hours.
3. If you go to the park in September or October, remember to bring a coat. No matter how sunny the weather is, the temperature in the mountains will always be lower than in the city. If you take a battery car, it is recommended to sit in the last row of seats that are turned upside down. There will be less wind when going up and down the mountain, and the field of view will be wider than if you sit upright (except for those who get motion sickness).
4. It is best not to feed animals, especially do not throw food packaged in plastic directly to animals. They can easily eat by mistake and cause harm to their bodies.
5. Remember to prepare a few one-yuan coins before going. When you go to the observation deck, you can use a telescope to see the animals in the alpine herbivorous area in the distance.
6. Go early and come back early. The weather in the mountains changes at any time. If it rains, there is no place to hide.

How to get there:
Bus route: Take bus No. 313 from Xinhua South Road in Urumqi City, which can go directly to the zoo. The fare is 3.5 yuan. The bus is available between 06:30 – 21:30.
Self-driving route: Take the Hetan Expressway in urban Urumqi, exit from National Highway 312 and turn onto G314. Take the Lianhuo Expressway in the direction of Dabancheng and Turpan and leave from the Xinjiang Fertilizer Factory exit.
