Introduction to the Japanese Covered Bridge: In the early years, the Japanese built the Japanese Covered Bridge to facilitate the connection between the two sides of the river. Later, it was renovated by the Chinese and has now become a landmark building in Hoi An. There are sculptures of monkeys and dogs at both ends of the bridge. According to legend, the bridge was started in the Year of the Monkey and completed in the Year of the Dog.
