Yusuf Hashajifu (1018 ~ about 1095) was a famous Uyghur poet, scholar and thinker in the 11th century. His representative work, the long narrative poem "Fu Le Zhi Zhi", is widely circulated. Yusuf Hashajifu was born in a noble family in Balashagon (now Akbaisim, Central Asia), the western capital of the Karakhan Dynasty. When he was young, he came to Kashgar, the royal capital, to study, and studied at Royal Academy of Letters. Between 1069 and 1070, he wrote a long narrative poem "Blessings and Wisdom" with 85 chapters (plus 3 supplementary chapters) in ancient Uighur script in Kashgar, totaling 13,290 lines, and dedicated it to Suleiman, the Great Khan of the Eastern Dynasty. ·Bugra Khan was highly appreciated by the Great Khan and was named "Hashajifu" - a personal guard officer. From then on, he was passed down to the world as Yusufu Hashajifu. In 1082 and 1091, Yusufu He also wrote two books, "Encyclopedia" and "Policy Book" respectively. At the end of the 11th century, Yu Sufu died in Kashgar, and people built a tomb here to commemorate him.Attractions distribution:
Yusufu's Tomb is located on Tiyu Road in the southern suburbs of Kashgar City, covering an area of 965 square meters. It was renovated in 1987 and reopened in 1988. The main entrance of the cemetery faces south. In addition to the central courtyard, the park can be divided into two parts: east and west. In the west, there is a worship hall with a curved ruler shape and a large-span stone dome on the top. In the east, there is Yu Sufu Haas. The tomb of Hajif is located. The mausoleum faces south and is rectangular in shape. It consists of tombs, a gatehouse and a main tomb chamber. It has a unique, grand layout, simple and solemn decoration. It is a group of buildings rich in traditional Uyghur architectural art features. How to get there:
The Yusufu Mausoleum is located next to the No. 12 Primary School in the southern suburbs of the city. It is a short walk from the Tiannan Bus Terminal. It is only one stop away from the No. 7 bus. There is a sign indicating the mausoleum at the intersection.
