Baiyang River Grand Canyon is a river valley wetland with dense forests, rich meadows and beautiful scenery. It is the section of Baiyang River located in Urho District, Karamay City, Xinjiang, from Baiyang River Reservoir to Urho.

Attractions distribution:

The Baiyang River Grand Canyon runs east-west, with a total length of 24 kilometers. It is generally about 400 meters wide, with the narrowest being about 200 meters and the widest being about 600 meters. The river banks on both sides are steep, mostly made of Cretaceous light brown rocks about 20 to 30 meters high. Red mudstone and sandstone, the water surface in the valley is about 5 to 10 meters wide and about 50 centimeters deep. The river has many meanders, winding down the valley. On both sides of the water flow are dense Populus euphratica forests. The main tree species are Populus euphratica, silver gray poplar, and hairy willow. etc., there are many kinds of grasses, and it is a rare river valley wetland in the Gobi Desert.
