Introduction to the statue of Phagpa: Phagpa is a Tibetan politician, Buddhist master, and the fifth generation founder of the Lasakya sect of Tibetan Buddhism. He wrote quite a lot throughout his life, including the collection of the Five Sakya Patriarchs which has been handed down from generation to generation. During his lifetime, he introduced printing techniques from the mainland to Tibet and Tibetan architecture to the mainland, which promoted ethnic cultural exchanges between Han and Tibetans and made great contributions to the formation and development of today's multi-ethnic country in China.
