Introduction to Zhaojue Temple: Zhaojue Temple was built during the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty and was originally named Jianyuan Temple. In the fourth year of Qianfu of Emperor Xizong of the Tang Dynasty (877), Zen Master Xiu Meng, an eminent monk of the Tang Dynasty and descendant of the Caodong Sect of Zen Buddhism, served as the abbot of Jianyuan Temple. He built a temple, expanded the temple, and was ordered to rename the temple "Zhaojue". The majestic halls, exquisite Buddha statues, ritual implements, steles, etc. in the temple have won praises from domestic and foreign tourists and pilgrims.
