Scenic spot introduction:

Stone City in Xinjiang is the intersection of the middle and southern routes of the ancient Silk Road. Several passages from Kashgar, Yarkand, Yingjisha and Yecheng to the Pamir Plateau all converge here. The castle is built on a high hill and the situation is extremely dangerous. There are multiple layers of broken or continuous city walls built outside the city. The stone hills between the partition walls overlap and piles of rocks form a unique stone city scenery. During the Han Dynasty, this was the royal city of Puli Kingdom, one of the thirty-six kingdoms in the Western Regions. After the Tang Dynasty unified the Western Regions, a Congling garrison was set up here. In the early Yuan Dynasty, extensive construction work was carried out to expand the city walls, and the old stone city was given a new look. In the 28th year of Guangxu's reign, the Qing Dynasty established Boli Hall here and repaired and added to the old city protection. In 1954, it became the capital of Tajik Autonomous County.

Stone City is located in an advantageous geographical environment. There is a grassland under the city, and several major mountains in Central Asia stand in the west: Khunjerab Daba, Mingtie Gaidaban, Wahqilidaban and so on. Stone City, a very strategic castle on the ancient "Silk Road", only has ruins left, but it is surrounded by snowy peaks, grassy beaches and rivers, and has a strong Tajik ethnic customs, which is quite rugged and bold.
