Introduction to Mansudae: The Mansudae Monument was built on the Mansudae Hill in Pyongyang on the occasion of the 60th birthday of the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung in April 1972. With the bronze statue of Comrade Kim Il Sung as the center, it is composed of group sculptures and large mosaic murals. Covering a total area of ​​240,000 square meters, the large monument is lined with the Korean Revolution Museum in the north. On the front wall is a large mosaic mural of Mount Paektu, the holy land of the revolution. On the occasion of the Sun Festival in April 2012, in memory of General Kim Jong Il, another bronze statue of Kim Jong Il was erected next to the bronze statue of Comrade Kim Il Sung.
