Introduction to Arirang: "Arirang" is a comprehensive art work that integrates famous Korean songs, folk dances, rhythmic gymnastics, acrobatics, moving artistic backgrounds, and modern lighting design. It is large in scale and has many performers. There were 100,000 people, and 20,000 people turned over the background boards in the stands alone. This performance was recognized as the world's largest group gymnastics and art performance in 2007, and was recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records. The performance runs through the national history with time clues, from the anti-Japanese war to the Songun politics, from the theme to industrial and agricultural production, from the efforts for rejuvenation to the struggle for reunification.
