Introduction to Latour: Henri de Baillet-Latour (March 1, 1876 - January 6, 1942, Belgian), social activist and An active supporter of the Olympic movement and a close friend of Coubertin, he served as the third president of the International Olympic Committee from 1925 to 1942. In 1906, under Latour's active planning, the Belgian National Olympic Committee was established. After World War I, he applied for Antwerp to host the seventh Olympic Games in 1920, and the bid was ultimately successful.
