Introduction to the ancient pagodas of the Liao Dynasty: The Golshan Liao Pagoda is the earliest existing ancient pagoda in Fushun. The tower was built in 1088 AD and is the earliest high-rise building in Fushun City. It is now a provincial cultural relic protection unit. The Liao Pagoda is 14.10 meters high and 6.8 meters in diameter. It is an octagonal and nine-level dense eaves structure. There are rectangular Buddhist niches 15 centimeters deep on each of the eight sides of the pagoda. Under the niches, there are flying reliefs and Buddha statues, which are magnificent and extraordinary. The Liao Pagoda has a solemn shape and rigorous layout, which fully reflects the superb skills of ancient Chinese craftsmen. It is one of the representative works of ancient Chinese pagodas.
