State Park Introduction: To know where the Mormons first lived, the best way is to visit the historical park. The Mormons living there were rebuilt in the 19th century. The park is named after the speeches given by Brigham Young, the founder of Mormonism, and his disciples when they arrived in the area. The park is located where Mr. Young first saw the Salt Lake Valley. Mormon prophet Brigham Young and his followers discovered Salt Lake City in 1847. The city now celebrates Mormon heritage every summer on "47th" with different events. If you've never seen a Rodeo, Rodeo Day is a must-see. If you love parades, you have to be in town for the Rhodes Day Parade, it is the oldest and largest parade in the state, with clowns, bands, and even parade princesses.
