Introduction to Butchart Gardens: Butchart Gardens is one of the largest and most internationally renowned historic gardens in North America, owned by the Butchart family. It is located about 21 kilometers north of downtown Victoria and covers an area of 50 acres. The Butchart family originated from Scotland, England. In 1884, Rob Butchard married a talented woman, Jennet Foster Kennedy. In 1902, his family moved to Vancouver Island, Canada, and ran a cement business in what is now Butchart Gardens. In 1904, the cement factory was officially put into operation, and Mrs. Butcha also came here from the East Coast to reunite with her husband. Because Mrs. Butchart loved Chinese arts, she planted many flowers, plants and shrubs in the garden. As the mining of cement raw material limestone was exhausted, Mrs. Butchart began to transform the original lime field into the current low-lying garden in 1921. Complete the entire park project.
