Introduction to Zhang Yue: Zhang Yue (1847-1913) was diligent in political affairs, aware of people's sentiments, and enforced the law impartially. He was quite prestigious. He once assisted in the reclamation of Huairen (now Huanren) before the establishment of the county. In the second year of Guangxu (1876), he arrived in Huairen, which had not yet established a county, and served as a member of the administrative committee. In the fourth year of Guangxu's reign, he was sent to Huairen County on a trial basis. In the sixth year of Guangxu's reign, he served as magistrate of Huairen County and became Huanren's first county magistrate. In the eighth year of Guangxu's reign (1882), Zhang Yue was transferred away. During his tenure in Huairen, he did many great things and good things for the people of Li, which is admirable and will never be forgotten.
