Introduction to the Bell and Drum Towers: The Bell and Drum Towers in the ancient city of Xianzhou were built in the early Ming Dynasty and collapsed due to the Liaodong earthquake in 1484. In the following more than 600 years, it was rebuilt three times, destroyed twice, and was completely demolished in 1970. The existing Bell and Drum Tower was rebuilt in 1991. It is four feet and five feet high, which is more than two feet shorter than the Bell and Drum Tower in the early Ming Dynasty. The picture shows the Bell and Drum Towers in the old city.
