It was rebuilt by the Jin Dynasty and expanded twice during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, reaching an unprecedented scale. There is a mountain gate in front of the temple, with bell and drum towers on both sides; there is the Main Hall in the middle, and on the side there are the Dizang Hall, the Empress Hall, the Sutra Library, and the Dabei Pavilion; there are also 3-meter-high copper pagodas and Wanshou Pavilion in the temple. By the time of Qianlong's reign, Chongshou Temple had more than a hundred pavilions and halls, and over a hundred monks, making it an extraordinary event.
