Introduction to whale watching: Many different species of whales can be seen along the coast of Greenland. Tourists can take boats from the towns of Nuuk, Keketasuaq and Ashiate, and go through the canyon. Humpback whales, minke whales and fin whales are more common near towns and in the fjords of West Greenland, while belugas and narwhals are more common in North and East Greenland.
