Introduction to the Arms and Armor Hall: The collection on the first floor of the Arms and Armor Hall displays armored figures on horseback in a unique "parade" manner, making it the most popular among the museum's arms and armor galleries. Recognizable impression. The collection spans a wide range of geographies and includes Egypt, Ancient Greece, the Roman Empire, the Ancient Near East, Africa, Oceania and the Americas, as well as 19th and 20th century American firearms (particularly the Colt). Of the more than 15,000 artifacts, most were for kings and princes, including armor belonging to Henry VIII of England, Henry II of France and Ferdinand I of Germany.
