Introduction to the Ancient Near East Museum: The culture of the Near East originated from what is now the Gulf region and the Arab region, including the Mesopotamia of Iraq, Turkey and other vast areas. It has a history of civilization of seven thousand years. Painted pottery has been unearthed here. Jars, wood carvings, stone carvings, reliefs, etc. In addition, a large number of clay tablets and stones with different writing materials such as hieroglyphics and cuneiform are preserved. The Ancient Near East Pavilion exhibits a giant sphinx with winged stone statue discovered in 865 BC, sacrificial objects from 7000 BC, clay pots from 4000 BC, handicrafts from 3500 BC, and artifacts from 2500 BC. The exquisite reliefs and murals bear witness to the important origin of human civilization in ancient Babylon and the Mesopotamia.
