Introduction to the No. 1 Jungle in Northern Sichuan: Pingle Temple was built in the Shaoxing period of the Song Dynasty (1131-1163 AD). In the old days, the temples were glorious, the incense was prosperous, the Taoism was solemn, and the Buddhism was prosperous. Later, the temple was destroyed during the Cultural Revolution. In 1993, the temple was rebuilt and Buddhist activities resumed. Until the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake, the temple was seriously damaged again.
