Itinerary 5: Aiken Spring, Xitai Jinair Lake, Yadan on the Water
We stayed in Mangya City that night. Because of the road construction, we had to wait for a long time before we got to the downstairs of the hotel. Dad and I shared a room. Dad fell hard in front of the bathroom because there was water on the floor. And I only wear disposable slippers. The reasons why I only wear disposable slippers:
After breakfast in the morning, we set off to see Aiken Spring. There was a section of road in the middle that was dusty and full of potholes. The chassis of the car had been touched countless times. After driving out, the car was covered with mud.
Walk along a very narrow path and you will arrive at Aiken Spring. It is undeveloped and free to enter. Water is constantly gushing out of the spring in the middle of Aiken Spring. It is said that the spring water from Aiken Spring is used for Soaking your feet can cure athlete's foot.
There are rental clothing and drones not far from Aiken Spring. It is recommended not to rent clothing. If you don’t have a drone, you can rent one, because the scenery seen from Aiken Spring below is not as spectacular as aerial photography.
After coming out of Aiken Spring, we went directly to Xitai Jinai Lake. The scenery along the way was all desert. We would stop and play at beautiful places. I have to say that driving here feels so good.
Before arriving at Xitai Gener Lake, we will see a blue lake appearing on the desert, which makes us in the car excited. The moment we arrive, we just feel that it is so beautiful.
One thing worth noting is that when you go to the lake to play in the water and take pictures, you must check whether there is mud on the ground. The "lucky" father lost a pair of his shoes at Xitai Jinair Lake.
After staying for a while, we rushed to Shuiyadan. As we said before, Yadan is a special geological landform. Shuiyadan, as the name suggests, is the Yadan landform on the water.
The Yadan I saw before
When people talk about the Yadan landform, the first thing they think of is Dunhuang and Devil's City. They don't know that there is such a unique beauty in the Qaidam Basin in Qinghai that no one knows about.
Yadan on the water
Reasons for formation: Most of the Yadans discovered so far are distributed in extremely arid areas. The Yadans in Qaidam were lifted out of the water body due to geological movements. During this period, the salt and sand condensed on the earth's crust were eroded by the westerly wind and sculpted. It is the largest wind-eroded soil forest group found in China so far. This piece of Yadan on the water is originally located at a relatively low position on the seabed, equivalent to the center of the lake. There is still some seawater left in the prehistoric sea, and the groundwater melted from the surrounding snow mountains converges into this lowland, forming a shape around Yadan. There are some lakes that have not dried up.
This is a scenic area with accommodation and dining, but the price is not low. There are sightseeing buses in the scenic area that drive directly to the best viewing position of Yadan on the water. You can also ride camels inside.
After coming out of Shuiyadan, it was already dusk. Koala started a sideline live broadcast on the way to find a place to stay. When we arrived at a hotel, there were only three rooms left, and the conditions were still very simple, but in this kind of hotel It’s enough to find a place to stay.
Tired, we took a nap at the dining table
The moment a plate of food was served, it was divided among us.
Some people agreed to watch the starry sky at night. After dinner, we set off. I found an open space in front where we could watch the starry sky. A Bing and Koala also came soon . If you want to watch the stars, you should prepare cotton-padded clothes even in August, it is really cold at night.
After taking pictures of the starry sky for a while, I introduced to A Leng how to take pictures of the starry sky. Then we started playing with light painting. A Leng and Xiao Ding acted as models, while Lao Dou and A Bing painted with lights in the back.
It was already three o'clock in the morning when we got tired from playing, so we went to sleep in the car. We originally left the sunroof open to get some air, but we were shivering from the cold in the back, and Brother Cheng was snoring in the back seat, so we were so sleepy in the end. Barely falling asleep.
