temple on hillside
Chayeba Monastery is 36 kilometers away from Lhasa.
Located in Yebagou, Yeba Village, Bangdui Township, Dazi County,
Northeast of Lhasa River,
The whole temple building is tightly embedded in the cliff peaks and walls.
Founded in the seventh century AD,
It has a history of more than 1,500 years and is also one of the famous temples in the history of Tibet.
Chayeba Temple is one of the spiritual temples built by Tibetan King Songtsen Gampo for Princess Trizun. It is named after it is located in Yebagou.
The characteristics of this temple are that it is high, dangerous and strange.
When I go there in the winter, there is snow all around, and I can’t tell how beautiful it is. In the summer, the grass is green and the scenery is like Swiss scenery.
A sense of desolation and loneliness.
There are four seasons between summer and winter.
It snows in Tibet in the winter, but in the summer the sky is full of green and blue.
But the prayer for a better life exists all year round. On the way to Chayeba Temple, you will encounter Nagin Pass, where there are huge prayer flags.
The wind is strong and the scenery is beautiful. There are vendors selling prayer flags there, and the price is as low as 35 yuan a piece. It can help you hang it up between two mountains and be eternally blessed by the strong mountain wind.
People who pass by here will stop to enjoy the breeze and look at the scenery, and I am no exception.
The scenery in front of me was so magnificent and beautiful that it made me temporarily forget all my worries. I didn't have any worries in the first place.
Funny to say, the day I went to Chayeba Temple was Valentine’s Day, the fourth day of the Lunar New Year.
Because I forgot to bring my ID card when I went to Drepung Monastery in the morning, I temporarily rented a car to go to Chayeba Monastery in the afternoon.
But because I stayed at the mountain pass for too long taking pictures, the temple closed at 4 pm, so I couldn't go in.
I think every temple is the same, they worship Buddha and pray. Our hearts are the same, and our wishes all come true.
