It seems that there is a river next to every city, and the direction of urban development is to turn the river into an inland river, which means that cities will develop on both sides of the river. The same is true for Chaoyang. That river is called Daling River.

. The hotel we stayed in was right by the Daling River. We took pictures of the city at the hotel in the morning.

Speaking of Chaoyang, there is also a folk legend. There used to be a statue of Nine Phoenix Chaoyang in Xinhua Square in the center of Chaoyang. The official history must have an explanation, but the unofficial theory is that this statue represents the nine suns, which is probably Hou Yi. The sun shot down those nine, so Chaoyang has been dry and dry in those years (in fact, Chaoyang has always been like this in history, so millet is produced locally). In 2007, the statue was moved to the Daling River, and as expected, there was more rain! ! Of course this must be a superstitious statement!

There are two ancient towers in the center of Chaoyang, very close to each other, called the South Tower and the North Tower. The amazing thing is that when the North Tower was undergoing maintenance and protection in 1984, a treasure was discovered on the upper floor of the tower. The archaeological excavation work continued until 1995, and a large number of precious cultural relics were unearthed. The Buddha relics seen on Phoenix Mountain yesterday were also unearthed here.

The base of the tower.

There is a North Tower Museum next to it, which displays cultural relics unearthed in the tower. The bottom floor of the tower can be entered. No photos taken inside

Take a picture of the South Tower on the base of the tower, and the middle is called Murong Street.

The museum is really dazzling and the cultural relics are amazing! There are many introductions online, so I won’t repeat them.

Another famous place in Chaoyang after coming out of the museum is the Niuheliang Hongshan Cultural Site, which is a symbol of advancing Chinese civilization for a thousand years. Although it is not close to Chaoyang, I definitely want to visit it.

There are several exhibition halls here. Objectively speaking, if there is no tour guide to introduce this kind of cultural heritage, you really can't see anything.

The last stop is this hall. It is said that it is a product with an investment of 100 million yuan. It is indeed grand and spans large enough.
