The trip to Zhejiang was cancelled, and we moved to Suzhou and Yangzhou in the province.

We arrived at Suzhou Station at 6:30 pm on the 14th.

What comes into view after getting off the car is

Suzhou Station has a design structure rich in classical garden features.

Therefore, Suzhou Station is considered one of the most beautiful stations in my country.

Dragging tired luggage and heavy body,

We first arrived at the Pingjiang Road historical district in Gusu District, Suzhou.

Enter from Ganjiang East Road, starting from the south end of Pingjiang Road.

You can see a small canal on the left.

The water surface is very clean and there are no fallen leaves;

In the water are aquatic plants rippling freely with the weak current,

and schools of small fish gathering in the shallow water near the shore.

That night we stayed in a small unit in a residential area by the river.

The unit is small, but it has all five internal organs and contains the universe.

Going deeper into the house, I found that his house also had a small garden.

There are also openable floor-to-ceiling doors and windows outside the B&B (I don’t know what they are called)

After putting down our luggage, we quickly went out to look for food.

Regarding this store, I think it is necessary to introduce it in detail.

When we first entered the store, we saw a bunch of "terminology" on the wall, and we were completely confused about how to eat this thing. It happened that an uncle from Shanghai also wanted to find out, so we asked the waiter (clerk) and summarized some difficult-to-understand questions as follows:

For Soviet-style noodle soup, you need to "top" it first, then order "toppings", or even add other side dishes, etc. "Toppings" can be understood as dishes that are eaten with the soup noodles. In the "below" link, customers can choose "white soup noodles" or "red soup noodles". The "red" here does not refer to "chili" but to soy sauce brine.

① Two bowls of red liang fresh minced noodles, a total of four bowls of noodles, "red" means soy sauce, "fresh minced noodles" are toppings, two liang bowls equals four bowls. This name is to avoid the unlucky homophony of "four bowls".

② "Light", "heavy", "free", "wide", "tight", "hard", and "rotten" respectively represent the amount of ingredients added and the degree of processing.

③ "Green" refers to garlic leaves, and "red" refers to soy sauce brine. For example, "free green and wide soup" means no garlic leaves and more soup.

④ "Place the toppings in a container" means that the toppings and noodles are placed in containers, and customers can decide how to handle them when they get them. "Crossing the bridge" means the same thing.

In the past, when a customer made a request, the waiter would quickly write it down and pass it on to the chef, who would then make bowls of unique pasta. You come and go in the store, and there is no fireworks.

After dinner, we walked back to Pingjiang Road.

After seeing the tea set in the B&B,

The author couldn't resist tasting Suzhou's specialty Biluochun.

He asked Wei Nan, who had gone out to buy postcards again, to come back with some tea.

Wei Nan met an antique shop owner on the road.

But I brought back two packages of Lapsang Souchong.

After the author brewed it,

Walk to the Humble Administrator's GardenTingyuxuan,

The remnants of the lotus are indeed suitable for the scene. All that is left in the water are the brown and yellow dead branches of the lotus.

There are pavilions in the Humble Administrator's Garden where you can enjoy the scenery of the four seasons, namely:

Embroidered Yiting Pavilion - Spring Pavilion,

Pavilion surrounded by lotus breeze——Xia Pavilion,

Waiting for Shuang Pavilion - Autumn Pavilion,

Snow fragrant clouds pavilion - winter pavilion.

(It is worth mentioning that the English name of Daishuang Pavilion is The Orange Pavilion. The reason is still unknown.)

The author secretly believes that spring and summer are a good time to visit the Humble Administrator’s Garden.

The area where Tiger Hill is located was originally called "Haichong".

This is related to the history of geological changes in Suzhou.

According to legend, Suzhou was once a vast ocean 200 million years ago.

Earth's crust changes have uplifted this mountain with an altitude of 34.3m.

King Wu Helu was buried and thereafter,

The fog on the mountain looks like a white tiger, guarding the king's tomb, so it is named Tiger Hill.

These were all said by an aunty tour guide at the door during the free trial period,

But in the end we decided not to hire a tour guide.

However, there is a significant temperature difference between the inside and outside.

There is sunshine outside, warm and bright;

There are pools of water inside, and it’s freezing;

Legend has it that King Wu Helu was buried under this water.

Also buried with him were the most outstanding weapons of the Wu Kingdom at that time.

Therefore, this pool is named Jianchi.

It is rumored that the word "Jianchi" was inscribed by Wang Xizhi from the monks on Huqiu Mountain.

In exchange, the monk gave Wang Xizhi two giant geese.

As a result, after the goose was caught and brought home by Wang Xizhi,

He fled back to Huqiu Mountain and transformed into two divine beasts.

Hence the name "Divine Goose Yi Zi".

When approaching the top of the mountain,

The author and my friends discovered Baimei!

I stopped and sorted some dried flowers on the ground and put them into a paper bag.

Later, when I opened the school bag, I was greeted by a fragrant aroma.

Dusk falls and when we go down the mountain,

When I walked across a bridge at the foot of the mountain, I looked up to see the sunset and looked down to see the flowing water.

Suddenly I remembered the lyrics in "Rainbow":

"The evening breeze whispers on the green grass bank, and the bells kiss the glow."

The tour of Suzhou city was successfully completed.

The next stop is Taihu Xishan Island!
