Day6 Mountain City Trail + Chongqing Science and Technology Museum
- Mountain City Trail
It is said that Chongqing is a mountain city, but after living in these few days, I do not have a deep understanding of this concept. From what I learned in textbooks, I had the impression that there should be a lot of stairs in Chongqing. You have to go up and down stairs all the time, and it is difficult to drive a car, so the profession of "Bangbang" was born.
But when I came to Chongqing this time, although there were a lot of uphill and downhill climbs, basically everywhere I went was within driving distance, and I didn’t see a single “bangbang” person. I think this is the result of the development of the entire city.
So the mountain city trail I went to this day allowed me to vividly experience the taste of old Chongqing.
There are many mountain city trails in Chongqing. What we went to was the trail in the Shancheng Alley traditional style area, the most distinctive mountain city third trail. This is the longest and steepest historical road.
Shancheng Alley Traditional Style Area is located in Nanjimen Street, Yuzhong District. Just exit Jiaochangkou Station of Metro Line 1 or Line 2 and walk a little further.
Shancheng Alley was formerly known as Tiandeng Street. In 1900, French missionaries set up poles and lit lamps on the slope of Shancheng Alley to illuminate passers-by. At night, looking at this slope from a distance, every household is lit up like stars, and because of the high terrain, it seems like In the sky, hence the name Tiandeng Street. It was renamed Shancheng Lane in 1972.
We basically walked around clockwise according to this map.
Entering the entrance is a staircase that lives up to expectations.
This trail also offers beautiful views of the river.
There are many historical buildings gathered on this trail, and the first place I encountered was this thick house.
Houlu was built in the 1920s and 1930s. It was the residence of Sichuan Army general Lan Wenbin during the Anti-Japanese War. It is a typical representative of mountain architecture in the main city of Chongqing. It is currently not open to the public.
This area is a stilted building. Don't worry about walking to the stilted building on the outer edge of the river (left side in the picture below) and not being able to see the other side. When you come back from the front, you will come out from the inside (right side).
The two little ones were looking at the direction of the river very carefully, because a bridge was still being built there, so they were very interested in watching it.
Continuing forward, you will see the ruins of the ancient city wall. This section of the ancient city wall was built in the fourth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1371). It took advantage of the natural mountain topography and built a mountain defensive city wall according to the mountain situation.
Continuing forward, the road is blocked and construction is still going on ahead.
We walked through a small gate and came to the wilderness park. This park has quite a feel to it and is also quite suitable for taking pictures.
The exit of the Wilderness Park is the French Renai Hall.
French Renai Tang was formerly Renai Tang Hospital founded by the French in 1902. In 1944, it was renamed Peidu Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, which was the predecessor of Chongqing First Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital.
We were lucky enough to see an exhibition - Poetic Wormhole when we went there that day.
After walking a few steps, I saw the former site of a school - Jinma Primary School.
We didn't want to go back the way we came, so we turned back towards the road from Tixintang to Heaven Ladder.
Tixintang is one of the famous relief halls established during the Qianlong period. It is currently not open to the public.
After that, we walked slowly along Horseshoe Street.
After walking through this mountain city trail, the Chongqing in my impression gradually merged with the Chongqing I saw. Only then did I have the feeling of a complete puzzle in my mind. Otherwise, I don’t know why, but I always feel that something is missing. Similar.
- Chongqing Science and Technology Museum
After that, I transferred to Line 1 and Line 6, got off at the Grand Theater Station, and came to Chongqing Science and Technology Museum! These two places are very close, with a total of 2 stops.
With the theme of "Life·Society·Innovation", Chongqing Science and Technology Museum has six themed exhibition halls: life technology, disaster prevention technology, transportation technology, national defense technology, aerospace technology and basic science, and two special exhibition halls: Children's Science Park and Industrial Light. , also has a temporary exhibition hall, a youth science dream workshop, as well as an IMAX giant screen theater, 4D dynamic theater and XD interactive theater. But this time, the theaters were not open.
Chongqing Science and Technology Museum is divided into Area A and Area B. These theme exhibition halls are basically in Area A, and Area B has the Industrial Light Exhibition Hall.
We basically operate in Area A! There were very few people visiting that day. It was a great experience and it was so much fun inside!
The main building of Chongqing Science and Technology Museum has four floors, and the first floor is mainly a temporary exhibition hall.
The temporary exhibition I encountered this time was the charm of mortise and tenon joints. Not only can you see the works on display, but you can also have many interactive experiences, and you can assemble mortise and tenon joints by yourself!
I am really not afraid of jokes. This Luban lock with 6 pieces of wood has each piece of wood marked with the number 123456. It took me watching the video many times to spell it out. Thinking about the ancestors who created these, they are really wise! You really need to have unparalleled spatial imagination!
I told my two little ones that a house built with mortise and tenon joints does not need a single nail inside and is very strong! The two little ones also thought it was very magical!
And this time I also learned that there are not only wooden mortise and tenon joints, but also stone mortise and tenon joints and iron mortise and tenon joints.
There is also a temporary exhibition on the first floor about the Wuhan epidemic.
Second floor: Life Science and Technology Hall, Children's Science Park, Dynamic Cinema, Popular Science Theater.
The Life Science and Technology Exhibition Hall mainly displays the scientific principles and scientific and technological achievements contained in daily life, and spreads the concept of "life is inseparable from science, and science improves life". The exhibition hall consists of clothing, healthy diet, scientific living, human health, energy and environment. It consists of six themed exhibition areas: , Internet and Life.
Simulate rocket launch, sound wave transmission, water circulation, etc. . . The two little ones had a lot of fun here. In fact, they found out later that every level is so fun! There is a lot of interaction, basically learning in the game.
The Children’s Science Park is literally a playground!
Third floor: Disaster Prevention Science and Technology Department, Transportation Science and Technology Department, National Defense Science and Technology Department, Giant Screen Cinema, Interactive Cinema
The Disaster Prevention Technology Exhibition Hall takes natural disasters as the theme and combines the characteristics of multiple natural disasters in Chongqing. From the occurrence of disasters to the urban scene after the disaster, based on scientific data, the audience can understand disasters and learn disaster prevention and disaster prevention countermeasures. . The exhibition hall consists of six themed exhibition areas: Chongqing disaster prevention, meteorological disasters, fire, earthquake, safety knowledge, and disaster experience.
The Transportation Technology Exhibition Hall consists of four themed exhibition areas: traffic safety, transportation construction, water transportation, and air transportation. It is also a traffic safety education base licensed by the Chongqing Transportation Administration Bureau.
The exhibition hall displays rich content such as the history of transportation, tunnel excavation, the mysteries of aircraft, and traffic safety through diversified display methods.
The National Defense Science and Technology Exhibition Hall is the first domestic science and technology museum to independently introduce national defense science and technology, and carry out patriotism education and national defense education. It aims to state the fact that cutting-edge science and technology are prioritized for military use, and the use of weapons will inevitably be accompanied by casualties, and to promote the defense of the homeland, Cherish the concept of peace. The exhibition hall has three themed exhibition areas: King of Land War, Going Deep Blue, and Holding a Steel Gun.
The two little ones also played shooting games here!
Fourth floor: Aerospace Science and Technology Department, Basic Science and Technology Department, Fun Science Laboratory
The aerospace science and technology exhibition hall takes "the secret of the universe and the dream of aerospace" as a clue to display the origin of the universe, ancient Chinese astronomical achievements and the laws of celestial bodies, simulate human exploration of the universe, experience the latest aerospace science and technology achievements, and understand human exploration The journey of space shows the impact of technology on the material world and the exploration of the unknown world.
The basic science and technology exhibition hall covers the fields of interesting mathematics, classical physics, material composition, etc., integrating "thinking like a scientist" into the entire exhibition hall, focusing on displaying basic scientific principles and their applications, through the magical world of force, electricity, and wonderful, Classic exhibits such as The World of Light and Sound inspire visitors to discover and obtain the key to the door to science. The exhibition hall consists of theme exhibition areas such as interesting mathematics, classic physics, magnetism and electricity.
Chongqing Science and Technology Museum is really fun! Highly recommended for families with children! Education through fun, learning through games!
There are many interactive projects in the Chongqing Science and Technology Museum, many of which are very interesting. If time allows, the two little ones will definitely have fun here in one day! It can be called a technological playground!
postscript:
