Day4: Chongqing Wulong Tiankeng + Ground Crack

Fortunately, we went to Wulong on the fourth day. It was very hot in Chongqing that day, with the highest temperature reaching 33 degrees. We accidentally managed to escape the heat in tiankeng and ground cracks.

Chongqing and Wulong are about 200 kilometers apart and take about 3 hours of driving. We checked and found that there is no special tourist line from Chongqing urban area to Wulong (there used to be one). There are only three options: 1. Take a bus at the bus station and then transfer to the scenic spot after arriving in Wulong; 2. Take a train and then transfer Go to scenic spots by car; 3. Sign up for a one-day tour group.

The transportation to Wulong is not convenient, so we rented a car ourselves. The cost of renting a car is 180 yuan per day, and the model is almost the same as Volkswagen LaVida; the toll is 180 yuan for a round trip; the fuel cost is about 140 yuan.

If you have enough time, you can stay in Wulong for one night and visit for two days, because there are quite a lot of attractions there. This time we went back and forth in one day and only went to the tiankeng and ground crack scenic spots that I wanted to visit the most and felt to be the most classic.

  • Tiankeng Chapter: Tiansheng Sanqiao Scenic Area

Every time I talk about the Tiankeng Ground Seam Scenic Area, I initially thought it was one scenic spot, but in fact there are two. They are the Tiansheng Three Bridges Scenic Area and the Longshui Gorge Ground Seam Scenic Area. You need to buy separate tickets.

When I bought the ticket, it said Tiansheng Sanqiao Scenic Area. I thought it was not a tiankeng. The staff next to me said that Tiansheng Sanqiao Scenic Area was a tiankeng. Tickets: 125 yuan/person, children under 1.2 meters or under 7 years old are free of charge. My brother is over 6 years old and has just caught up with the tail.

After buying tickets at the ticket office, you need to take a bus to the scenic spot.

There are 2 routes here, one is the elevator entrance, and the other is the glass balcony entrance. The ticket we bought includes the elevator, so we chose the elevator entrance.

Tiansheng Sanqiao Scenic Area has filmed "A City of Golden Armor" and "Transformers 4", so there is a large model of Transformers at the entrance of the scenic area. The two children only knew that Transformers had been filmed here and they were very excited. They followed their Transformers game journey, directing and acting all the way, pretending to be Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, etc., and fighting imaginary opponents. For the two of them, the whole trip was very fun. They didn’t feel tired after walking all the way, but they were full of energy running and jumping.

Taking the elevator to the bottom of the pit, our fantasy journey really begins!

The Three Natural Bridges Scenic Area is a typical karst landform with the characteristics of "majestic, strange, dangerous, graceful, secluded, and unique". It is the largest and highest beaded natural bridge group in the world. The scenic area is full of beautiful forests, springs and waterfalls, covering mountains, water, fog, springs, gorges, peaks, streams, waterfalls and many other scenery. The Three Natural Bridges refer to the three majestic natural stone bridges: Tianlong Bridge, Qinglong Bridge and Black Dragon Bridge.

We thought that the bottom of the pit where the elevator reached was the bottom of the pit, but we found that we still needed to continue going down.

In fact, this is the bottom of Tianlong Bridge, one of the three natural bridges. However, "I am in this mountain, I don't know where the clouds are", so I can't see the appearance of the bridge here. You only need to walk to Qinglong Bridge and look back to see the Tianlong Bridge! Tianlong Bridge stands on top of the sky, with a height of 200 meters and a span of 300 meters. It looks like a flying dragon in the sky, so it is named Tianlong Bridge. There are holes in the bridge, holes within holes, and the holes are like a maze, which is both spectacular and magical.

And standing here looking ahead, you can see Qinglong Bridge.

Does it look like an elephant?

Continuing downward, you will see Tianfuguanyi Station!

The first time I learned about Tianfu Official Post was from the movie "A City Full of Golden Armor". At that time, I thought it was temporarily built for the filming of this movie. Only this time I learned that this official post came from the Tang Dynasty. There it is!

Tianfuguan Posthouse was first built in the second year of Wude in the Tang Dynasty, which is 619 AD. It was an important post station for transmitting official information between Fuzhou and Qianzhou. It was later destroyed in war and rebuilt in 2005.

Looking back at Tianlong Bridge from Qinglong Bridge, doesn’t it look like a bridge?

Qinglong Bridge is a natural bridge with the largest vertical height difference among the three bridges. The bridge is 350 meters high, 150 meters wide, and has a span of 400 meters. As the sun sets, the rays of light flicker, bright and dark, like a real dragon rising straight into the sky, hence the name Qinglong Bridge. bridge.

From this angle, the bridge hole under the Qinglong Bridge looks like a big knife. If you find the right angle, you can take a photo of yourself holding a big knife!

broadsword reflection

Looking back after crossing the Qinglong Bridge, does it look like a leaping carp? The little fish's mouth looks so lifelike!

Does the Condor Tiankeng look like an eagle spreading its wings?

Beyond this tree is the Black Dragon Bridge.

The Heilong Bridge is 223 meters high, 107 meters thick, 193 meters wide, with an average arch height of 116 meters and an average span of 28 meters. The bridge hole is high, deep and long, and the light inside the hole is dim, like a black dragon circling the top of the hole, hence the name Black Dragon Bridge.

There are many springs and waterfalls in Heilongqiao, and it is unique for its four-eyed springs with different flow patterns: "Three Dies Spring", "One Line Spring", "Pearl Spring" and "Mist Spring". Like "fog spring", you can't capture it with a camera, you can only experience it by being there.

Looking back at the Black Dragon Bridge, does it look like a gorilla?

At this point, the classic part of Tiansheng Sanqiao is almost finished. The father and son were walking and running while playing games. The two little ones were not tired at all. The power of games plays a great role in guiding the children~

After arriving at the exit, we bought tickets for the sightseeing bus and headed to the seam. The ticket price for the sightseeing bus is 15 yuan per person. You can also walk, depending on your physical strength.

  • Ground Cracks: Longshui Gorge Ground Cracks Scenic Area

The sightseeing bus is sent to the Dijian ticket office. After buying the tickets, you need to take the bus to the Dijian Scenic Area. Ticket price: 105 yuan/person. Children under 1.2 meters tall or under 7 years old are free of charge.

The Longshui Gorge Ground Fissure, 8 kilometers away from the Tiansheng Sanqiao Scenic Area, is named after a crack formed by the orogeny in the second episode of the Yanshanian period (140-070 million years ago). It was rated as a World Heritage at the 31st World Heritage Conference South China Karst World Natural Heritage.

The Longshui Gorge Ground Fissure Scenic Area has a total length of 5 kilometers, a tour of 2 kilometers, a depth of 200-350 meters, and the narrowest point of only 1 meter. The scenic area is characterized by original vegetation, waterfalls, springs, and deep pools, with plank roads running through it.

When the two brothers arrived here, they spontaneously started playing a new game - repairing the earth, and thus started their adventure of cracking in the ground with great energy!

After entering the scenic area, we walked down a set of stairs and came to the cave tunnel.

As the tunnel continues to descend, it really feels a bit like exploring deep into the earth's core.

This descending staircase, called the Space-Time Tunnel, is so deep that it is almost impossible to see the bottom from it.

I thought I would just keep walking in the tunnel, but after walking through the time and space tunnel, everything suddenly became brighter!

Continue walking along the plank road.

The canyon is deep and winding, with thousands of walls standing tall. When I looked down, my legs felt a little weak and I felt panicked. Maybe I can’t feel it in the photo, but in fact it was really high. I didn’t dare to look more and take pictures. Click the photo and quickly retract it.

This cave is the Jiaolong Han Cave, with a width and height between 60-100 meters. It was formed by the continuous dissolution of early underground river water hundreds of millions of years ago along the cracks in the rock formations. There is a plank road leading to the depths of the cold cave, but it was dark and a bit eerie when we looked at it, and the wind blowing inside was very cold. We only looked at the entrance of the cave and did not go inside.

Looking at the cracks in the ground from this angle~ Going down from here, you will enter the Nine Beaches and Eighteen Pools.

There are countless high and low steps along the mountain along the way. Some sections of the road make it almost impossible to stand straight, and some sections can only accommodate one person. The slippery plank road and the constantly falling mountains and water above our heads make us feel that walking here is better than a tiankeng. The more difficult.

Tiankeng is not like a crack in the ground. Even if there are occasional waterfalls, it will not get us wet. There are many waterfalls and springs in the cracks in the ground. Most of the time, the mountains and water cannot be avoided. Maybe you can just run a few steps and pass by. No, no, there are places where you fall into the water, and the ground is usually very slippery, so I would rather get wet than walk quickly, so bringing an umbrella will come in handy, but it doesn’t matter if you don’t bring an umbrella, I’m here Chu Xianhe got wet a lot while taking a shower, and the steps were very steep and slippery. I didn’t dare to walk fast at that time, so I calmly got wet. Everything else was fine.

The two little ones really like these waterfalls. They say the earth has peed on them. Innocent children~

crane bathing

Continuing forward, we saw this Milky Way Waterfall!

This waterfall is very spectacular. It forms four levels of stepped water from top to bottom. The maximum height difference of the lowest level is 80 meters. The waterfall is generally 2-3 meters wide, and can reach 6-8 meters in high water season. The water flows all year round. Continuously, it flew down, and the surrounding water was filled with water. And it’s a bit like Huangguoshu Waterfall. You can walk inside the waterfall. Photos can’t express its beauty!

A ray of skylight, the maximum height difference is 260 meters from the bottom of the valley to the top of the valley, and the narrowest part of the canyon is 2-3 meters. Looking up at the bottom of the valley, only a ray of skylight can be seen; looking down from the top of the valley, the valley is filled with mist, darkness and unfathomable depth. This is where the water gorge ground fissure gets its name.

Many places along the way are slippery, so be sure to pay attention to safety. There was thick mist in the cracks in the ground, and the light was not very good, so the photos I took were not very good. The scenery is actually much more beautiful than in the photos!

The dragon pond reflects the moon. This pond is not dry all year round, and the profits and losses are equal.

After walking out of the crack in the ground, a piece of blue sky suddenly came into view, and I suddenly felt that the blue was so beautiful! And it was in this sunshine that I felt the heat again!

When buying tickets, I heard someone say that after visiting the tiankeng, the cracks in the ground would be less interesting. However, after we visited these two scenic spots, we felt that although they are both karst landforms, the tiankeng and the cracks in the ground are still different. The tiankeng is more about mountains, and the cracks in the ground are more about water.

The three natural bridges in the Tiankeng are the magic of creation, and the flying springs and waterfalls in the cracks in the ground are the beauty of creation. The Three Tiansheng Bridge is majestic and miraculous, and its flowing springs and waterfalls are embellishments and foils. The seams in the ground are always accompanied by water, waterfalls, streams, and flowing springs as they descend from Jiaolong Cold Cave, and they often interact with us. The scattered bits and pieces on us, its flowing springs and waterfalls are penetration and communication.

Therefore, visiting tiankeng and ground cracks is a good interpretation of traveling in mountains and rivers and enjoying mountains and rivers.

When visiting, on the one hand, you can marvel at the beauty of nature's creations and its miraculous craftsmanship; on the other hand, you will feel that the power of human beings is also great. In this way, a place that was originally beyond the reach of ordinary people has now become accessible to the public. A tourist attraction, each step contains a lot of wisdom and sweat.

There are not many shops in the scenic area (the shops are all at the exit and entrance of the scenic area), so after visiting the scenic area, you will feel very clean, not only hygienic and clean, but also feeling harmonious and unobtrusive with nature; The tiankeng is still the same tiankeng, and the cracks in the ground are still the same. The stairs built by humans are all built according to the mountains and follow the trend. They have not changed much, but they respect nature, love nature, and live in harmony with nature!
