The north welcomes the spring breeze and the south embraces the autumn mood

April April

It’s autumn in South Australia

As the tense situation of the epidemic gradually eases, finally has the opportunity to go out to chase the tail of autumn and relax by enjoying the beautiful scenery of South Australia's falling leaves in late autumn. Less than 20 minutes’ drive from downtown Adelaide, there is a small town with a strong autumn atmosphere that is suitable for an afternoon autumn trip - the literary town of Stirling.

Stirling, a literary town

Tour time: 2 hours

Speaking of Stirling, there are regrets. This town originally had a Sunday market called Stirling Laneways every year, which not only had a dazzling array of market stalls, but also had wonderful band performances. Unfortunately, the April market was canceled due to the epidemic. If you are still in Adelaide from September this year to April next year, you can pay attention. The time is the fourth Sunday of each month from September to April.

The epidemic has dealt a heavy blow to normal human life, but it cannot stop the ups and downs of nature. Therefore, human beings cannot do without nature, but nature can still bloom with the brilliance of life without human beings.

Coming off the highway southeast of Adelaide city center, you can directly enter the center of Stirling town. In fact, there is only one central street. There are various bookstores, cafes, bakeries, restaurants and a library along the way. However, most of them are not open during the epidemic, but you can take away meals.

Fortunately, the weather was very good on the day of the trip, and the alternating red and green autumn leaves looked particularly colorful against the clear blue sky. In the afternoon, I buy a cup of coffee and walk leisurely on the path surrounded by autumn leaves. The dappled sunshine shines gently on my body, making people forget all the troubles for a moment.

Next to this grove is the library, and there is a grassy field in front of the door that is perfect for picnics. Even during the epidemic, you can see Australians bringing their families here to have picnics and enjoy the autumn, or couples coming here for romantic dates.

It is suitable to go in the afternoon when there is backlighting, so bring a beret with a full literary and artistic atmosphere. The gentle sunshine is just suitable for taking a literary and artistic photo with a strong autumn atmosphere.

There is a literary bookstore hidden deep in the corner of the street. The strong British style makes people feel like they have traveled to Diagon Alley in Harry Potter. It's a pity that it was closed and I couldn't go in and have a good stroll.

It is recommended to check in at this cafe near dusk but before it closes, so that the lights in the open-air courtyard will be turned on. The warm yellow lights and dark red retro tiles will create a unique atmosphere.

This is a glass wooden house restaurant, with deep and shallow autumn leaves and vines wrapped around every beam of the wooden house. Even if you cannot dine in the restaurant during the epidemic, you can drink coffee in the small outdoor courtyard and watch the passers-by in a daze. When reading a book, maybe a fallen leaf will fall between the pages of the book, and it will become your most autumn-specific bookmark.

I casually photographed a bakery shop decorated in an Instagram style, it must be newly opened. Chocolates, cookies and ice cream are sold. The warm sea-blue doors and windows and warm yellow lights add a touch of literary color to the entire street.

This is the only green tree shade in Stirling, but the ground is covered with fallen leaves. They must have fallen one round and sprouted new green leaves and branches.

The autumn scenery in Stirling really makes me, a Cantonese from southern China, forget to leave. Although when it comes to Adelaide, more people will recommend the German village Hahndorf next to Stirling. However, in comparison, the trees in Stirling will be more lush and dense. The mainstream color is a passionate deep red, combined with some light yellow branches and leaves. Decorated, you can't extricate yourself after being immersed in the rich autumn colors. It is said that autumn has been a sad and lonely time since ancient times, but the autumn in Stirling made me feel the romance and beauty of autumn. I really hope this autumn can last longer.
