DAY8 Daocheng-Xinlong

Return to Daocheng from Aden and pack your luggage. Next stop, we set off towards Seda. Wearing a hat to hold on to our hair that hasn’t been washed for several days. The music on the car also ranged from the band's Summer to Mayday to Chen Li to Jay Chou.

The two cars were singing against each other on their walkie-talkies. In order to listen to Jay Chou, Mr. Dao even bought a QQ Music membership.

The drive from Daocheng to Litang takes longer than imagined. It was stormy and sunny for a while, and we also encountered a large stone area Haizi Mountain , as if we were switching between Inner Mongolia and Iceland. The average altitude here is 4,500 meters, located between Daocheng and Litang.

The planned lunch turned into afternoon tea due to the travel time. Anyway, the problem of eating during this journey is to eat what you can, and there are not many choices.

After discovering a flat tire on the way, I found an auto repair shop for supplies and testing before continuing on the road. Litang County, where we originally planned to stay for one night, didn’t have much content. Seeing that it was still early, we continued to drive forward.

After passing the eighteen bends of the mountain road, we met the legendary 318 National Highway with first-class scenery. The signal was intermittent and I looked at a lot of windows desktop backgrounds. Finally, I decided to stay in Xinlong County for one night and continue the journey tomorrow. Seda.

Arriving at a place less than 3,000 meters above sea level, it was safe to take a shower again. We found a place to settle down and had a hot pot meal to celebrate a tiring day.

Some habits will last for a long time
such as copying and silently reciting those good things and beliefs

I don't know where I'm going

But I'm on my way

DAY9 Xinlong-Seda

After a section of the national highway from Xinlong County to Ganzi collapsed, I took a short detour through a mountain road that was a bit difficult to drive. I continued to go up and down slopes and without a reflector, I had to rely on my horn to find my way.

The third sister-in-law said that when I sat in the passenger seat and held a walkie-talkie and said, "There are three consecutive hairpin turns below," there was a little fear in my voice. The 140 kilometers and 5 hours of mountain road really tests your endurance and mentality.

Traveling together among friends is about cultivating tacit understanding and trust. After a small fright when overtaking in a straight line and almost hitting the opposite vehicle, I walked through this winding mountain road that was very close to the sky with anxiety and peace of mind.

Winding up like a ladder to heaven, the clouds were sometimes below us. I discovered that there is a new road from Xinlong to Seda, which is much closer. Amap does not have it, but Baidu Map does. The feeling of making continuous 180-degree turns next to a thousand-meter-high cliff still made my little heart a little scared. I was grateful that the rainstorm only fell in the second half. After all, no one wanted to watch lightning and thunder on the edge of a high-altitude cliff.

After arriving at Seda, we had a delicious Sichuan meal. A group of people who got sunburned after driving all day are doing facial masks in a dormitory, which is too much like college life.

Arriving at an altitude of 4,000 meters, sleeping until dawn without lack of oxygen became a bedtime wish again. Sometimes we live in hotels, sometimes in B&Bs, and sometimes in dormitories. We are really a flexible team.

DAY10 Seda

It is said that groundhogs do not drink cheap milk, but only Wangzai. Are you sure it is not a marketing campaign from the supermarket next door? Someone was hiding next to the hole and said that pretending to be the same species would easily lead the rats out of the hole.

Serta Wuming Buddhist College , many are under construction, and the air is full of construction dust and turbidity, which reminds me of a large urban village + the slums of Kashgar. The feeling you see in a video can never compare to your own experience.

The Seda Sky Burial Platform was also a little different from what I imagined. After sitting in the sun for two hours, I waited for the sky burial ceremony to begin. Only family members can watch it up close, while tourists can experience it from a distance on the side hillside. There is a covering cloth to cover the operation process. After all, everyone's psychological endurance is different. The vultures swarmed in on time and in advance, waiting for the moment of feasting.

Maybe I have always thought about death quite thoroughly, so I don’t have much experience with this scene. Whether the body is cremated or buried in the sky, it’s just a matter of how it is handled according to different beliefs.
