Today we entered Honghe Hani Autonomous Prefecture and passed through Hani Avenue.

Come to the famous Mojiang Tropic of Cancer Marker Park, which is known as the place where the sun turns.

The entire park is centered on the Tropic of Cancer, that is, 23°26′ north latitude.

Standing on the Tropic of Cancer, you can straddle two zones, the temperate zone on the left and the tropical zone on the right.

Legend has it that in order to conquer the sun, Kuafu chased the sun to Mojiang and died here of exhaustion. His body turned into land and rivers. The unknowing sun could only dare to come to Mojiang before turning back south. From then on, Mojiang was called the sun. A place to turn around.

The Five Elements Pillar, the Hani people use the five elements of metal, wood, water, fire, and earth to divide the time of the year.

Stone rings, the ancients estimated the 24 solar terms in a year based on the projections of the sun and moon when they rose and set.

At noon every summer solstice, the sun shines down from the top of the tower and coincides with the circle on the ground.

In the Stonehenge Square, the ancients inferred the time of the 24 solar terms based on the projections of the 12 stone pillars.

The sun and moon shine together. Every year in late summer and early autumn, when the sun, moon, and earth rotate and rotate on the same line, there will be an astronomical spectacle in Mojiang where the sun has not set but the moon has risen, and the projections of the sun and the moon coincide.

Gemini Square, the extremely high birth rate of twins in Mojiang is closely related to the Tropic of Cancer. It is said that if you make a wish in the wishing pool, drink Gemini water, or sleep in a twin bed, you can give birth to twins.

There is dense vegetation in the park, and there is the rare cynophylla, an ancient fern with a history of hundreds of millions of years.

After climbing all the way across the mountain, we finally visited the Mojiang Tropic of Cancer Marker Park.

Hani women use special weaving methods to weave clothes.

Buy Hani specialty purple rice and red rice from Hani women.

The folk village retains the most original rural style and is full of pastoral interest.

Occasionally, I met Hani women with their children and cows drinking water from the stream.

The most natural and primitive agricultural equipment is still used here.

Climb up and overlook the beautiful Hani rice terraces and Hani villages.

After visiting the Hani Rice Terraces, return to the parking lot at the entrance of the scenic spot.
