This time when I went to Guizhou, I signed up for a carpooling group on Mafengwo.com and followed a fixed route. When signing up, you can choose carpooling + hotel, or just carpooling. Because the travel agency’s carpooling + hotel package price is more expensive than carpooling + booking a hotel by yourself, so I only signed up for carpooling and then booked the hotel according to the itinerary.

Including the driver, there are five of us in total. We can discuss and determine the specific time arrangements along the way. Except that it's a bit uncomfortable to have to have one person sitting in the middle of the back row, everything else is fine.

Speaking of drivers, I really admire the driver I met this time, Master Yu. He is not very old, I estimate he is under thirty years old. He said that he had been in the auto parts business before, and he quickly became rich and started driving a BMW at a young age. If he hadn't told me, I really wouldn't have known that he used to drive a BMW. Although BMW is not a famous car, it is at least a symbol of wealth. Then in 2016, the business failed and he incurred a debt of 300,000 yuan. Now he has repaid 200,000 yuan in two years, and is still short of 100,000 yuan. He estimates that it will be enough in one year. He was very kind to us and patient along the way. You would think that he is just a hard-working young man who earns some hard money to support his family. I can’t imagine that the driver who was very patient and honest along the way, helped us carry our luggage, and took the trouble to answer all kinds of questions was once a winner in life driving a BMW. You can’t feel the ups and downs of his life left behind at all. any traces. He talks about the glory of the past without any pride, and talks about the current downturn without any depression. He said that during the worst time, he borrowed money from everywhere, made repairs everywhere, and even took out an online loan, but he paid it back slowly. Along the way, we saw the same kind of chartered car drivers constantly asking him for various information, such as where to stay and where to eat. For a trip like ours, the driver has to pay for his own food and accommodation, so they will have their own fixed hotel, and the food and accommodation are cheaper. This Master Yu is like a team leader. They always meet at various scenic spots during the National Day, so Master Yu organizes the drivers to eat and live together, which saves trouble and money.

He said that no matter how many people are in a car, the travel agency will give him a fixed amount of 600 yuan a day. He will pay for the car, fuel, food and accommodation himself, and the travel agency will take almost half of the customer's money. He said he wanted to form a convoy in the future and do it himself, without having to ask a travel agency to take one from the middle.

I really admire people who can be so calm and persistent after going through the ups and downs of life. I wonder if it was me who went through all this, would I be so peaceful and tenacious? Not necessarily, but not necessarily. Maybe sometimes being strong just has no choice.

It is said that the scenic spots in Guizhou are so scattered and the transportation is not very convenient, so chartering a car is quite efficient. Finally, let’s make an advertisement for Master Yu. If you need to charter a bus to Guizhou, you can contact him: Master Yu 18085031923

Itinerary Overview

Guiyang
I checked the urban area of Guiyang and there weren't many places that attracted me. Mainly because I didn't have time to go shopping, but I felt it was still worth spending half a day walking around to see the whole city. I spent a day visiting Qingyan Ancient Town and Yelang Valley in Huaxi District in the south. These two scenic spots, Qingyan Ancient Town and Yelang Valley, are both in Huaxi District. They are not far away, but they are some distance from the city center. Twenty kilometers. It takes about two or three hours to visit Qingyan Ancient Town, or half a day if you are slow. Yelang Valley, if you are just sightseeing, one hour is enough, the inside is not big; if you are obsessed with taking pictures, it depends on the time of taking pictures.
It is highly recommended to try the cake porridge from "Xie's Century Cake" in Qingyan Ancient Town. It is very delicious. There are many places selling pig's trotters in the ancient town. I tried the "Jin Bixuan" set meal, which includes pig's trotters, rice tofu, ice powder, cakes and rice porridge. The taste is okay. In downtown Guiyang, I ate the "Qiancheng Guichu Sour Beef Soup" as recommended by Dianping. It tasted really good and there were a lot of people queuing up.
Huangguoshu Waterfall
It's about two hours' drive from Guiyang. Many people stay in Anshun in advance and then spend a day visiting it. Because the tickets are valid for 2 days, some people will play for two more days. I think one day is enough. You can basically visit all the attractions in five or six hours. Because I chartered a car, I’m not sure how long it would take if I took public transportation.
The scenic area is divided into Doupotang, Waterfall and Tianxing Bridge. You can take sightseeing buses to different attractions, so there is a question of the order of sightseeing. I went to the Great Falls first, and originally wanted to go to Tianxing Bridge next, but it turned out that the sightseeing bus had to go to Doupotang first, and then change buses to Tianxing Bridge, so I visited Doupotang and finally went to Tianxing Bridge. The characteristics of these scenic spots: The waterfall has the most people, so it is best to avoid the peak flow of people; Doupotang is the smallest and closest to the entrance of the scenic spot, and can be visited in about half an hour; Tianxingqiao scenic spot is the largest and has the richest scenery, which is very time-consuming. Maximum time, allow at least three hours .
Xiaoqikong
This is a scenic spot that I failed to visit. My experience is: You need to reserve enough time from Yuanyang Lake and the 68-level waterfall to Xiaoqikong. Boating on Yuanyang Lake takes 40 to 50 minutes, and the 68-level waterfall The walk from Waterfall to Xiaoqikong is less than two kilometers and is the most essential part of the entire scenic spot. You should leave at least an hour . Secondly, I recommend Wolongtan, although I think the highlight is only the semicircular drop. The deep forest on the water is a bit like Jiuzhaigou. Water flows through a forest. This attraction requires tourists to walk about two kilometers by themselves, which is a bit time-consuming. Cuigu Waterfall is a waterfall flowing out of the mountain. It has no outstanding features and can be visited quickly. You have to buy extra tickets for Tianzhong Cave, but I didn’t go.
In the end, I didn’t have time to see Daqikong, and I didn’t know if Daqikong and Xiaoqikong were the same scenic spot.
Jiabang terraced fields

This place is a bit remote, and I’m not sure if there are buses that can go there. I think most tourists go there in private cars. This road requires nine turns and eighteen turns, so be prepared to be stunned.
Jiabang Rice Terraces are mainly distributed in the three villages of Jiache, Jiaye and Dangniu. It is recommended that the hotel be located in Jiache Village. This village has the highest location and the best view . In addition, there is an inn in Dangtuan Village, which occupies an excellent location. Everyone goes to their house to take pictures of the sunrise . If you don’t stay in the hotel and just take photos, it costs ten yuan per person, but the ten yuan is definitely worth it. The location of his house is unique. I was standing at the door of the inn and hesitating whether to spend the ten yuan. Would it be a special view? But I was really shocked when I went up there.
The inns in Jiabang Terraces are simple and expensive, at least during the National Day. I wonder if the prices will be cheaper on weekdays. Some inns do not have online booking information. If you go there on weekdays, you can find an inn when you arrive. If it is a holiday, it is best to book in advance, although there are not many inns that can be booked online.
Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village
The most important thing about this attraction is to avoid visiting on holidays.
The inn recommends choosing a roadside location at the foot of the mountain, preferably near the No. 1 Wind and Rain Bridge , it's easy, you can get there in a few steps after getting off the sightseeing bus. My basic principle is that you don't have to drag your luggage for a long time. Many people will choose a mountain view room halfway up the mountain, but it's not easy to carry a suitcase all the way over the mountains, and the night view can also be seen from the observation deck on the top of the mountain, so you don't have to watch it in the inn, which is expensive and troublesome. The above opinions only represent my personal preference.
Depending on the location of the inn, most people may need to take two sections of the sightseeing bus. If I wanted to know, I would just carry a schoolbag. It is really troublesome to carry the suitcase back and forth.
I visited this attraction in a hurry and had no other experience.
Zhenyuan Ancient Town
I arrived at noon and spent about three hours wandering around, mainly walking in the alleys of the ancient city, climbing halfway up the mountain and then coming down. I think others can climb to a nearby vantage point to overlook the entire ancient city. If you have time, you can take a look. I didn’t go to Shuanglong Cave, I can’t understand it anyway, so it’s up to me whether I go or not. This Shuanglong Cave is not what its name suggests. It is a temple rather than a cave.
Recommend Yuanjia Tofu’s tofu puffs, fried fern cake, and tofu dumplings . I’ve never eaten the others, and the noodles look pretty good too.
Lang De went to the village

The village is small and quiet, and there won't be many tourists during the National Day period. I went up from the road on the left side of the stockade, climbed to a thatched hut on the top of the mountain to overlook the entire stockade, and then went down the road on the right side, which was a circle around the stockade. There is a small square in the center of the village, where there are performances from time to time. It takes about two or three hours to complete a tour.
Fanjing Mountain
Accommodation: We stayed in Jiangkou Village this time, which is still more than ten kilometers away from Fanjing Mountain, so we still have to find a place closer. I walked around Zhaisha Dong Village, which was full of homestays . It is very close to the entrance of Fanjing Mountain Scenic Area. I feel that staying here is a good choice.
Tickets include: admission ticket + sightseeing car + cable car. Tickets and sightseeing cars are required, but the cable car is optional. If you climb it yourself without taking the cable car, this distance will take about 4 hours. If you have a whole day, I think it would be a good choice to climb up and then take the cable car down, because the cable car takes ten minutes and overlooks the entire mountainous area. It is worth taking it .
If you take the cable car, you need to climb a short distance from the cable car station to the top of the mountain. It takes about an hour. Plus three hours of fun at the top of the mountain, you can basically finish it in five hours.
Qingyan Ancient Town
I also checked at that time and found that apart from Qianling Mountain Park, there seemed to be nothing interesting in the city. I walked around Qingyan Ancient Town. Although it is also a commercially developed ancient town, it was very comfortable to walk around. There are some commercial streets in the ancient town, but there are also many areas where local residents live. If you just take a few steps, you can get away from the hustle and bustle of tourists and find a quiet corner. Then, the architectural style and decoration style of this ancient town are just what I like, very simple and very clean.
Yelang Valley
An Internet celebrity check-in point, this Yelang Valley seems to have nothing to do with "Yelang's arrogance". This ancient castle was designed and built by an artist named Song Peilun after he quit his job at the university and spent twenty years to build the ancient city of Yelang in his heart. I personally feel that this Yelang Valley belongs to him alone.

It is said that the construction of this ancient castle was also very difficult. At first, transportation was not convenient. The artist walked from his home to the valley to create art every day. It took two hours and two hours to come back, and he was on the road for half the day. "In the winter of 1998, heavy snow closed the mountains. In order to guard Yelang Valley, I lived alone for two months without water or electricity. I chopped wood, made fires, cooked, lit candles, drank snow water, and ate wild mushrooms. Surveying the terrain in the snow every day is hard. I feel like Thoreau in "Walden Pond", living a primitive life far away from modern civilization. "

There are a lot of people coming here to take pictures, some are recording live broadcasts, some are suspected of being internet celebrities checking in, and some are taking artistic photos. I am neither of those, so I just walked around and left.

Guiyang Food
In Qingyan Ancient Town, Jin Bixuan’s set menu is said to feature pig’s trotters. The round one in the lower right corner is a tofu dumpling with tofu mixed with green onions.
This cake and rice porridge from Xie's family is more delicious than the one just now. There is no harm if there is no comparison. It is very delicious. I can't wait to eat another bowl.
In Guiyang, the most cost-effective thing is to eat bowl noodles, rice roll noodles, vegetarian noodles, beef noodles, and all kinds of noodles.
Qiancheng Sour Soup Beef
I often eat Huaxi Beef Noodles in Beijing, but I didn’t expect that there are not many in Guiyang. I took a taxi and went to this Wangji restaurant to have a bowl because I didn’t know what other people’s restaurants were like, and I couldn’t say whether it was better than others.
I finally finished writing, and I feel like I should go to Guizhou again. There are still vast areas in southwestern Guizhou that have not yet been developed, and I have not finished visiting southeastern Guizhou. There are many places I want to go and many things I want to do, but the reality is always not too great. Lots of choices.
