  • August 13, 2020
  • Departure point: Gonggar Airport
  • Destination: Shanzeju Resort Hotel, Milin County, Nyingchi, Tibet
  • Main attractions: Wild scenery of the Brahmaputra River
  • Height: The accommodation site is 2,946 meters above sea level, and the highest point is the departure point, Gonggar Airport, 3,582 meters above sea level.
  • Weather: cloudy to showers

Today, King Sherry will fly back to Shanghai with the children, because the school requires students to stay in Shanghai for at least 14 days before reporting to school.

In the morning, I sent the king to the airport, held her hand and reluctantly said with tears in her eyes, "Your Majesty, I really can't bear to let you go."

The king said, your eyes have betrayed you a long time ago, I have seen the ecstasy in your heart. Don't say too much.

Hey, your Majesty is really very wise. He has no choice but to hide everything.

After seeing off the king, I returned to the hotel for breakfast. In the next few days, it will be my uncle’s family of four and me, with two cars and five people, to complete the return trip.

Today, we will come from Gongga County to Linzhi Milin County. Generally speaking, there are three routes to choose from:

  1. The fastest route is to take the Lhasa Airport Expressway back to Lhasa, and then take the Linla Expressway to Nyingchi, which takes about 6 hours;
  2. The second longest route is to take the expressway from Gonggar Airport to Shannan. After arriving in Shannan, take Provincial Highway 306. The whole journey takes 8 and a half hours;
  3. The longest route is to take Provincial Highway 101 to Shannan, and then follow Provincial Highway 306, which means that you will accompany the Brahmaputra River the whole way. This will take 10 hours.

We chose route 3 without hesitation. Of course, because we stopped and stopped, the whole journey took almost 13 hours.

The decision was made and we set off.

This is our trajectory for the day

The faster route is to take the highway shown by the blue line to Shannan, but this is definitely not what we want.

Fortunately, we didn't take the highway. Not far after Zhanang County, we came to a desert (blue circle)

What? desert? ! Yes, desert! And it’s right on the edge of the Brahmaputra River

The desert on the side of the road is covered with this bean-like plant, which aroused the interest of an old photographer, an old driver, and an old agriculturist.

Let's go, take a look inside and see if it's a real desert.

Ouch, that's really what happened

The other side of the Yajiang River seems to be a small desert.

Young photographer overjoyed

A few minutes after leaving the Zhanang Desert, we came to a viewing platform (blue circle) on the Yarlung Zangbo River.

This observation deck is well built and very clean. The parking lot is large enough, and most importantly, it faces the wide surface of the Yajiang River.

The river is so wide that it feels unreal, as if you are in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River

There is a high platform here. If you climb up to the high platform, you can better appreciate the Yajiang River.

Standing on the stage looking at the road

Along Provincial Highway 101 all the way to Shannan, you are in a very wide valley. The terrain here is gentle, the river is calm, and there are large areas of crops along the river.

After passing Shannan, continue forward, walk to the blue circle, and begin to enter the canyon area.

The valley became narrower and deeper, and the river suddenly changed its temperament. It began to change its gentle appearance and roar (of course you can't tell in the photo)

Young people bravely came to the cliff to take photos

The road here is starting to become narrower and more winding.

I got hungry while walking. Although we are in a canyon, we can see spacious parking areas for people to rest from time to time, so we found a place to stop and cook and eat (blue circle)

Bu Xiao said, of course what you eat is the delicacy of the world, don’t be jealous of me

After lunch, we continued onward. After a short walk, we came to a viewing platform (as usual, circled in blue). There is a sign here: Macaque Sanctuary. Ouch! Is there a monkey brother here?

Yes, there is a monkey here! I quickly climbed up to the small pavilion on the mountain, where two Tibetan brothers were playing with a monkey. A Tibetan elder brother told me that there are usually dozens of monkeys here, but today the others are on vacation, so this one was left on duty. The monkey squatted on the tree waiting for food. After waiting for a long time, he didn't see us bring out the food. He gave us a blank look and left in disappointment. No matter how much I stayed, he couldn't keep it. By the time Uncle Er and the others climbed up, there was no trace of the monkey, which made them very regretful.

Climb high and look far, the scenery is indeed more spectacular

Everyone performed another fierce operation

The mountains here grow very strong

There are not only monkeys here, but also other small animals, and they are not very afraid of people.

After descending the hill, continue forward and reach a place (blue circle). To the left is Provincial Highway 306 and to the right is National Highway (I forgot the number). It stands to reason that we should choose the provincial highway. After all, I have always followed the principle of "Don't choose the expressway if there is a national highway, and don't take the national highway if there is a provincial highway". But this time, I resolutely chose the national highway on the right. Because the speed limit on provincial highways is 30, but there is no speed limit on national highways. Hoho!

By accident, I chose the right path. Nowadays, many provincial roads and even county roads are newly built, and they are all extremely noble black asphalt roads. Many national highways are in poor condition due to lack of maintenance and disrepair. Compared with Provincial Highway 306 opposite, this national road has many narrow turns and potholes, and there are almost no cars or pedestrians on it, which makes me very happy. And the scenery along the way is also very good

After walking, we came to Lang County, where construction is also going on.

Time passed quickly as we walked and stopped, and before we knew it, it was almost 6 p.m. At this time, there was a shower. After turning a corner and reaching the blue circle, I suddenly saw a rainbow hanging in front of me on the left

Get out of the car quickly and take pictures! However, the rainbow is obviously very obvious, but it cannot be captured with a SLR. How unreasonable!

If you can’t take the photo with a DSLR, use your mobile phone to help!

Walking further, we came to a viewing point called "Wolong Stone" (naturally it was still the blue circle), and we stopped the car.

When I came to the viewing point, I didn’t know which stone was the Wolong Stone. Is it these pieces? It doesn't look like it

Is it this part of the water? It's possible, but buried in the water, who knows whether it looks like a crouching dragon or Zhuge Liang?

Forget it, if you can’t find it, let’s just look at the scenery and take pictures.

Watch me tame this angry river in just one second

Later, the old driver said that maybe Wolong Stone is the mountain behind us

After looking here in confusion for 10 minutes, we decided to leave

As soon as I climbed into the car, I suddenly noticed several lizards on the boulders next to the car. My back felt numb at first. After quickly confirming that it was not a snake, I quickly got out of the car and took out my camera. Fortunately, the lizards have seen the world, and they just looked at me dreamily and did not run away.

As we walked, we encountered another rainbow at 6:30 p.m.

Unexpectedly, happiness came so suddenly, and I encountered a rainbow twice in one day. And this rainbow is closer to us, clearer, and larger than the one just now. But why can’t the half of the rainbow on the right side of the mountain be photographed with a SLR (can anyone guide me)?

Forget it, get out of the DSLR, let’s go with the mobile phone. What a perfect rainbow!

After taking pictures of the rainbow, we walked forward extremely satisfied. But not a quarter of an hour after we left, a double rainbow appeared in front of us again!

It was raining, and we had already seen the rainbow twice. This time we did not stop the car, but took a few pictures in the car with our mobile phones. This is really a day full of rainbow tubes!

Okay, it's getting late, let's hurry up and get on our way. But just 10 minutes after walking, we unexpectedly encountered a rainbow again! !

This is not just about being full, but also about being able to support yourself! ! God, you are so good to us!

It's really a bit late, let's hurry up. We made up our minds, sealed the camera and rushed all the way to the hotel. It was already 9pm when we arrived at the hotel, and it was completely dark.
