Before the end of the Year of the Rooster, I decided to record one more place - Ejina Populus euphratica forest.

After all, this year, Ejina Populus euphratica forest is the most beautiful place I have ever been.

Walking in this golden forest, as soon as you raise your head, your heart will surge.

Populus euphratica forest: the beauty in the desert

Fortunately, it's another sunny day.

Through the golden poplar forest, I looked up at the blue sky.

Traveling through more than half of China, just to see the beauty of this desert.

Populus euphratica forest, it was once very far away.

But I knew that my arrival in this forest was doomed.

Because when I saw the golden Populus euphratica forest, I wanted to leave my presence in the forest.

Finally, I touched its vicissitudes of bark,

And bent down to pick up a golden leaf.

Although I have seen countless photos of Populus euphratica before,

But when you actually walk in front of it, you will still be amazed.

The shiny yellow leaves and twisted branches are really beautiful.

Walking under the Populus euphratica forest, as soon as you raise your head, your heart will surge.

There are few places with such simple yet strong beauty.

I once asked a friend who travels 360 days a year, where is the most beautiful place in China?

He thought for a while and answered, Ejina Populus euphratica would be one of the candidates.

Where is the Populus euphratica forest in Ejina?

In fact, I only found out for sure recently,

It turns out that Ejina is in Inner Mongolia, located at the junction of Inner Mongolia and Outer Mongolia, not too far from Xinjiang.

To match the yellow color of Populus euphratica, I decided to add a little green to it.

Of course, you can also add a bit of red.

Some people actually said that my clothes were traffic lights.

I want to say, so what if it’s a traffic light?

The traffic lights are obvious, the traffic lights are prominent, and the traffic lights have the most presence!

Or, it turns into the same yellow color as Populus euphratica.

Standing with Populus euphratica, I feel very satisfied.

The red light is in the desert, isn't it obvious?

The dead vines and old trees, the ever-changing postures of Populus euphratica,

It is a source of inspiration and a paradise for creators.

A small lizard is probably the only wild animal I have seen in the Populus euphratica forest.

Badain Jaran Desert

Populus euphratica grows in the desert,

Ejina Populus euphratica forest is located on the edge of the Badain Jaran Desert.

In Ejina, I also unexpectedly saw the desert for the first time.

Badain Jaran Desert, part of Alxa Desert, one of the four major deserts in China.

The four words "Badain Jaran" are as difficult to pronounce as the three words "Ejina".

Forgive me, I just found out that there is also a desert in Inner Mongolia. I had always thought that Inner Mongolia only had grasslands.

The vastness of the Badain Jaran Desert exceeds my previous imagination.

Looking around, there is endless flatness as far as the eye can see.

It’s flat enough that you can watch the sun rise and set over the horizon.

In order to see the sunrise in the desert, I got up at four o'clock.

I was lucky enough to have good weather and saw the first desert sunrise in my life.

The desert is no longer the desert it once was.

Because the desert has become a travel pastime, you also need to buy tickets.

I was still very excited to watch the sunrise on this day. After all, it was my first time to see the sun crawling out of the ground.

The experience of walking on the sand dunes is very special.

If you climb up one step, you will slide down half a step.

Finally I understand why the camel’s feet are so big.

Because it’s really convenient to walk in the desert that way.

As usual, I would like to use this picture to prove that I have seen the sunrise in the desert.

As usual, I would like to take this picture to prove that I have been to the Badain Jaran Desert.

dead old tree

The strange forest scenic area is a large dead poplar forest.

I don't really like the name "Strange Woods".

Although it has been developed into a scenic spot, I still feel that it is too desolate.

It is said that a long time ago, because the river in the desert changed its course,

As a result, a large area of Populus euphratica forest withered,

This process must be painful.

They are trees and we are just people.

Seeing this picture reminded me of the eerie scene in Stephen King's horror novel "Pet Sematary."

I wonder if these Populus euphratica trees, which have grown for hundreds or thousands of years, know that their corpses will become scenic spots in a few years.

If you knew it, you would definitely sigh.

The four trees above, two pairs of Populus euphratica, each pair have a life and a death.

The intersection of the two trees in the picture above is called the intersection of life and death.

In the picture below, two trees face each other, which is called life and death.

People will always give some meaning to such meaningless things,

Then it will attract a large number of tourists to watch.

But seeing the dead poplar trees,

I was really touched.

I remember when I passed the two trees of separation and death,

The two trees seemed quite magical and I was surprised.

I prayed for a wish, and it actually came true.

I would like to believe that there is chance in this.

The dead woods at sunset,

Populus euphratica's weird posture is even more prominent.

The lost ancient city located near the dead forest is almost covered by the desert.

The prosperity of the past has reappeared in the form of a scenic spot today.

The sunset is infinitely beautiful, and the setting sun is round in the desert.

Outside the ancient city, I saw the first desert sunset in my life.

Although the clouds were a bit thick, the sun still came out at the last moment.

As usual, I would like to use this picture to prove that I have been to the dead forest.

Sea of reeds in the desert

Located in Juyanhai, 50 kilometers away from Populus euphratica forest,

A desert lake, a desert oasis.

The sunrise here is incredibly beautiful,

This may be the biggest surprise of the trip to Ejina.

swaying reeds, flying seagulls,

Everything was enveloped in the warm morning light.

Mysterious light, dream-like picture.

Now I finally understand,

It turns out that the falling clouds can really fly together with the solitary swan.

The autumn water can really be the same color as the sky.

At four o'clock in the morning, we set off to Juyanhai to see the sun.

It's the best decision I've ever made.

The beauty experienced by body and mind is beyond imagination.

Juyanhai, an oasis in the desert.

A border town surrounded by cantaloupes

What I have to mention is the cantaloupe from Ejina.

Two yuan each, super sweet, hugely sweet.

The boss is willing to give an extra melon,

But I couldn’t bear to give an extra plastic bag.

It is said that there are too many cantaloupes here to eat all.

The unsold cantaloupes had to be fed to the sheep.

It feels so happy to go to a city surrounded by cantaloupes.

Ceke Port in Ejina, the border between China and Mongolia, once again visited the border of the motherland.

Boundary monument between China and Mongolia.

Many people from Outer Mongolia sell travel specialties here.

As usual, I would like to take this picture to prove that I have been to Ceke Port.
