After disembarking from Maoping Port, take a bus to the Three Gorges Dam Visitor Center, where you transfer to a scenic tour bus to visit the dam. The Three Gorges Dam tourist area currently has three viewing spots open to tourists: Tanzi Ridge, 185 Platform and the Interceptor Memorial Park. From different locations, you can look down, look up and look up at the landscape of the Three Gorges Dam.
When visiting, you must take the scenic bus to these three scenic spots. That is, take the scenic bus from the visitor center to Tanziling first. After visiting Tanziling, you can take the scenic battery car or walk to the 185 platform to continue the tour, and then take the bus from the 185 platform. Take the scenic bus to the Intersection Memorial Park, and finally take the scenic bus back to the visitor center.
Tanziling is the highest point of the Three Gorges Dam and the best place to view the panoramic view of the Three Gorges Project. You can get a bird's eye view of the Three Gorges Project from the Tanziling Observation Deck.
Jar Ridge is as its name suggests. From a distance, it really looks like an upside-down jar.
Right in front of Tanziling is an eye-catching tetrahedral commemorative stone for the Three Gorges Project closure. The closure commemorative stone with a side length of 2.5 meters and a weight of 23 tons is the main material thrown when the Yangtze River is closed, and has made great contributions in the closure of the Three Gorges Project. The memorial stone stands in the center of a pool, surrounded by fountains. The gush of water and the stability of the stone create a picture of both movement and stillness.
The five-level ship lock is in full view. Ships on the Yangtze River pass through this five-level ship lock to travel upstream and downstream of the dam. The total length of the ship lock is 6.4 kilometers, and its main lock chamber is 1.6 kilometers long. The height difference between the upper and lower locks is 113 meters. Ships passing through the locks have to climb over the height of a 40-story building.

Close to the dam, there is a half-cylinder nearly two meters high standing on a granite stone base. In the middle are engraved six bright red characters "Cornerstone of the Three Gorges Hegemony Site", which is particularly eye-catching. This stone is a sample core drilled from the dam site during geological exploration. Granite stone has four major characteristics: good structure, weak water permeability, strong pressure resistance, and excellent earthquake resistance. It is the most ideal rock for building water conservancy dams.

Viewpoint 185 is located at the left bank port of the road on the top of the Three Gorges Dam. It is named because it is as high as the top of the Three Gorges Dam, with an altitude of 185 meters.
The viewing point is built on a platform of about 20 square meters, with a commanding view and a wide view. It is the best place to view the Three Gorges Dam and the water surface of the reservoir area.
After leaving the 185 Park, take a car and pass by the Xiling Yangtze River Bridge. There is a interception memorial park downstream of the dam. From here, you can have a panoramic view of the dam, and the power plants on the left and right banks are clearly visible.
Entering the memorial park, several super machines were parked on the side of the road. Now these imported vehicles are now key items for export. Times have really changed.
