The altitude sickness mentioned in the previous issue "Lhasa I Photographed in Those Years: Majia Ami, Drepung Monastery and Potala Palace" was in Mount Siguniang in western Sichuan, a place that left a deep impression on me.

Siguniang Mountain is located in Siguniang Mountain Town, Xiaojin County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan. It belongs to the Qionglai Mountains of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and consists of four continuous peaks. Siguniang Mountain has four snow-capped mountains with an altitude of over 5,000 meters. The main peak is 6,250 meters above sea level. It is the second highest peak in Sichuan after Gongga Snow Mountain. It is said that Mount Siguniang was formed by four beautiful Tibetan girls. The four peaks are covered with ice and snow all year round. Because the four girls are the slenderest, they are known as the Eastern Alps after Shushan Mountain.

Siguniang Mountain Scenic Area consists of Siguniang Mountain, Shuangqiao Valley, Changping Valley and Haizigou. Due to limited time, I visited Changping Valley. When visiting Changpinggou, you can either walk on the plank road or ride a horse. Since there is a plank road for tourists to walk on, and I like to take pictures, I chose to hike.

Siguniang Mountain’s majestic and strange peaks, uncanny landforms, and rich and unique landscapes make it known as the Holy Mountain of the East, making it a resort for tourists, a paradise for climbers, a maze for hikers, and a paradise for photographers.

The sky over Mount Siguniang is changing rapidly. The Mount Siguniang we just saw was shrouded in clouds and mist in the blink of an eye, like a veil covering the girl's face.

I have seen the meadow on the top of Wugong Mountain and the Nalati Plain Pasture. Looking at this meadow again, it has a unique scenery.

There is a very good ecological environment here, and the entire Siguniang Mountain has maintained a intact virgin forest state. In the next photo, you can see trees covered with usneas. Usnea is a special plant that can only grow in a very pure natural environment. Therefore, where there are natural usneas, the natural environment must be very good. .

Dead Tree Beach is a particularly famous scenic spot in Siguniang Mountain. The dead tree trunks are dead but still standing in the river bed. No matter how many years pass, they remain unmoving, just like Populus euphratica, showing a tenacious spirit.

The dead tree beach is at the end of the plank road, and going further is the rugged mountain horse trail. Firstly, the weather was not good, and it started to rain and light snowflakes. Secondly, because I was very excited to see the beautiful snow-capped mountains ahead, in order to take photos, I We were walking in a hurry, and the symptoms of altitude sickness began to appear. My breathing was a little short of breath, and my head started to feel heavy and dull pain, so I had to end the tour and return to the accommodation.
