The Liaoning Provincial Museum is located in the Heping District in the center of Shenyang. It was originally the official residence of Tang Yulin, the Feng Dynasty warlord Rehe Dutong. The museum has a total collection of 112,000 pieces, mainly archaeological excavations and handed down arts and crafts. The collection has a long history. From the Paleolithic Age to modern times, a large-scale collection system has basically been formed. The collection is divided into 17 categories of cultural relics, including archeology, calligraphy and painting, sculpture, ceramics, silk embroidery, bronzes, paleontology, ethnic minority cultural relics, oracle bones, and inscriptions.
