"Xingping Ancient Town is the location where the pattern on the back of the 20-yuan RMB was filmed. It is inevitable to take a check-in photo at the 20-yuan RMB Observation Deck. But the real way to open up Xingping Ancient Town is to see the old fisherman's fishing Eagle performance. The old man in red in the picture is the one on the new version of the 20-yuan chart. News reports about him can be found online, and he is considered a local internet celebrity. However, the old man has to go to the show alone. You need to take photos with several bamboo rafts, and the actions performed on each bamboo raft are fixed. Cast the net and close the net. Each action gives you two or three opportunities to take pictures. After taking the picture, change to the next bamboo raft. It depends on whether the photographer can capture it.

Charging reference: 300-400rmb for the use of bamboo raft plus grandpa's performance and group photo. The bamboo raft can be used for any time until you are satisfied with the photo. "

However, those who plan to go to the river to take pictures of fishermen must be mentally prepared. First, they have to pay a "toll" of 20 yuan per person, and then there is such a gravel road all the way. There is no shade on the shore. The conditions are very difficult, and the fisherman is just like this. We only come here when it’s almost sunset, so don’t come too early. I spent two or three hours sunbathing on the bamboo raft that day.

Fishing boats sing late

Because I wasn’t happy taking photos with the old man in red, I looked for this white-bearded grandpa on the shore and observed him for a long time. He had rich expressions and funny movements. I thought it would be perfect if I took two more photos with him. My mother was sent to negotiate with the grandfather. At first, he was unwilling to take any more pictures. Later, during the conversation, we learned that the grandfather was 93 years old and could no longer take pictures. Grandpa has never been out of Guangxi in his life, and he became a model when he got older. He also said that other younger fisherman’s white beards were glued on, and his was real. It was getting late at this time, and after double negotiation between my mother and I, my grandfather finally allowed us to take pictures for 20 minutes.

Charging reference: 150rmb/20 minutes. The grandpa also gave us his business card. We can make an appointment with him in advance. It should cost 300rmb or 400rmb and we can shoot for one or two hours.

"Impression Liu Sanjie" landscape performance

The large-scale outdoor live performance created by Zhang Yimou is the world's largest live landscape theater. The stage is in the waters of the Li River, with twelve peaks in the background. There are more than 600 performers participating in the performance, and the scene is spectacular.

This is the first time we have watched a local performance during our trip. We have not seen any of the Qianguqing performances in Lijiang, Sanya, and Guilin before. Maybe we are not very interested in watching the show. If you have seen the Qianguqing show, you can also tell us whether it is worth watching~ But this time because I went with my family, they strongly requested to watch "Liu Sanjie". It’s quite fun to watch, so if you’re traveling with your family, you can make some arrangements~

When you come to Yangshuo, you must experience artificial bamboo rafting on the Yulong River

There are many sections to choose from for rafting on the Yulong River. We originally wanted to choose the section from Jinlong Bridge to Jiuxian County, which is 1.5 hours in full and has 9 drops. It offers a relatively complete view of the scenery and is the most classic route.

but! I waited for several days during the National Day holiday but couldn't get a ticket. I contacted the lady from the B&B and said that I couldn't get it at the increased price. Even if I got a ticket, I had to wait in line at the pier for several hours. Many people queued up to buy tickets at 4 or 5 o'clock. , the whole was speechless!

We have no choice but to choose the round-trip rafting at Jiuxian Pier. The advantage is that there are few people and no queues. The whole trip takes about 45 minutes. The disadvantage is that the scenery is the same in the round trip and there is only one dam rush, which makes the fun less fun. Facts have proved that 45 minutes is enough to experience it, and one and a half hours to show it is a bit too much.

Just arrange one day in Guilin city

The scenic spots are relatively concentrated, including Elephant Trunk Mountain, Two Rivers and Four Lakes, Sun and Moon Twin Pagodas, and East-West Alley.

Personally, I think they are all relatively ordinary. It doesn’t really matter if you watch them or not.

When I was doing the guide, I saw the sunset at Diecai Mountain which was quite beautiful.

If you have enough time, you can go there

I’m going to complain again. The situation of soliciting tourists in Guilin is very serious.

Whether you are walking on the road or taking a taxi, you will encounter people soliciting customers, which can really affect your experience.

Guilin is an old tourist city. After this trip, I felt that the tourism industry is not very developed.

Especially the traffic is really overwhelming, especially in the face of the heavy passenger flow during the National Day. I have to complain about this road condition 10,000 times a day.

In terms of hotels, except for Huashan Yunshe, Tangshe, and Banyan Tree, there seems to be no particularly outstanding hotels.

Compared to last year’s trip to Yunnan during National Day, the travel experience was much better. There were so many hotels to choose from, the scenic spots were all in good order, and the road conditions were very friendly for self-driving tours. In short, we went to places we still wanted to visit.

To sum up, the place is a good place and the scenery is good, but its tourism industry is not worthy of its beauty. If you come to travel, you must avoid holidays, otherwise you will either get up early or be stuck in traffic like us.
