The Sichuan-Tibet line is a tricky road. It’s unspeakable to be on the road after the rain.

When I woke up on the morning of the 8th and looked at the sky, I felt like a deflated rubber ball - not only had it rained all night, but it was still raining non-stop, but slightly lighter. To go or not to go? This dilemma leaves us at a loss.

If you don’t leave, when will you wait? Tomorrow or the day after tomorrow? If you walk on a bad road, you may encounter dangerous rocks falling down, and your safety is not guaranteed. After a while of helplessness, everyone was very entangled and couldn't make a choice. However, Shuaizi proposed to leave without hesitation, even if he was on the road alone, it didn't matter. A little after eight o'clock, Shuaizi put on his raincoat and set off in the rain. The remaining five of us are still helpless, helpless, and in a dilemma.

Time passed by minute by second, watching the time pass in agony. After 9:30, captain Charlotte finally couldn't help but suggested that we should go! Then one by one wavered, first Xiao Zeng responded positively, then the cow followed, and finally the hippopotamus and I reluctantly obeyed the majority.

Although I agree to set off, I still have lingering fears about starting after the rain, which is said to be the most dangerous section of 318. Especially what if the road becomes slippery and even the cart cannot be pushed? I had no choice but to have a stray thought in my mind - why not let the car take away the luggage, so that you don't have to worry about being unable to push the car, and the insurance factor will undoubtedly increase. But it was just a thought for a moment, and he was quickly denied. It was related to the issue of "honor and integrity". (Those who do not want to hitchhike or push the car, including those who do not want to hitchhike if they are carrying bags) Then put on a raincoat and set off with your teammates.

The entrance of Tongmai Tunnel - a terrible road!

Braving the drizzle, I crossed the Tongmai Bridge not long after I left. Armed police were guarding and directing motor vehicles and cyclists to pass in turn. Soon we were on a muddy and rotten road. In front of the entrance of the Tongmai Tunnel, which was under construction, it was narrow and rotten. If we were not careful, we might fall into the Yigong Zangbo River on the left. Despite the danger, we passed cautiously. The road was bad on the one hand, but the problem was that after passing this bad road, it was a muddy road with ups and downs. It was difficult to ride in the mud uphill, and I was worried about slipping when going downhill, so I had to concentrate on it and concentrate my thoughts highly, not daring to do anything. Any mistakes.

No matter how bad the road is, you still have to walk! On the left is the Galung Zangbo River.

This is how we walked through the muddy road step by step.

▲It’s such a bad road that you have to be careful when driving on it. My teammates were riding on the bad road ahead, and I recorded it with my camera

After riding at a very slow speed for a while, we finally arrived at Pailong around 12 o'clock. This is the right time to have lunch, take a break, and even discuss whether to stay. But the captain kept riding in front and had no intention of eating at all. While riding, I asked the cows, and they replied that they were going to eat from the front. Looking at the many restaurants and hotels on the roadside but not being able to stop, I was very puzzled: Why didn't I stop when it was obviously meal time? Seeing all his teammates rushing forward without stopping, I had no choice but to passively keep up. (Unfortunately, I was in such a hurry that I even hurriedly left Pailong without seeing what the tiger's mouth looked like. Is it so important to keep going?)

▲The road is too bad, so I took a short break, let the cars pass, and didn’t forget to take pictures of the beautiful scenery.
▲Other teammates are resting, but I can’t see my teammates resting.

It didn't matter. I gradually fell behind again. On the one hand, my stomach began to protest, and on the other hand, the muddy and rotten road was very tiring, so I had to ride slowly behind alone. I persisted for a while, and finally walked a 10-kilometer section of rotten road to a good road. I wanted to just take a breather. In one breath, you didn't know that although the road was getting better, it kept going uphill slowly. What's strange is that for nearly two kilometers uphill, there were more than 10,000 flies following you and chasing you, which made you very troubled! No matter how you drive them away, they will always stalk you and surround you. At first I thought I was a special case, but later I heard someone say that they were also being besieged by flies horribly.

Finally, I gradually broke out of the siege of flies, but I could not see my teammates riding alone. Normally, they would rest on the roadside and wait for me. I saw other cyclists resting on the side of the road in twos and threes, and I wondered, why didn’t my teammates rest? In desperation, I had no choice but to ride slowly and calmly. Anyway, it was enough to reach the destination before dark, so why rush in a hurry? Unfortunately, my stomach hurts and I feel hungry for a while, and I can't get up quickly even if I want to. Fortunately, there were still two pears I bought in Bomi. (Eight yuan a pound, four pears 19 yuan) I ate them quickly to satisfy my hunger. Seeing groups of cyclists passing me one after another, I was still worried: Could it be that I was at the bottom? In this helpless riding, at about three o'clock in the afternoon, I finally saw five teammates resting at a roadside canteen and asked me to stop - it turned out that they were eating noodles there for lunch - I didn't understand why they had to wait until three o'clock Is it time for lunch? Who is more resistant to hunger? No matter what, he quickly asked the boss to cook noodles. Then I briefly rinsed the mud-covered bicycle, ate some noodles, and hit the road again.

There were many beautiful scenery along the way, but I was not physically strong enough so I only took a few pictures like this.

It should be determined by age and physical strength, but I fell behind soon after setting off. Even though we entered Sejila National Forest Park, the scenery on both sides of the road was beautiful, but we had no intention of admiring it and just kept on driving. Although I feel lonely and helpless behind, I have to face it bravely. I always think in my heart that as long as I don't walk in the dark and walk at night, it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter if I go slower. After six o'clock in the afternoon while riding, we finally saw that the hippopotamus was also lagging behind, so we walked with them and encouraged each other. Along the way, I saw several other cyclists who were also exhausted from riding. We just walked forward and backward beside each other. Among them, I saw a young man pushing the cart continuously, as if his physical strength was not as good as ours.

▲Even though the scenery on both sides of the road is pretty good, we were in a hurry and ignored everything in front of us.

At the end of the ride, it was getting late, and it was already past eight o'clock. As I was approaching Lulang, I felt a little anxious. At that time, a very beautiful scenery appeared on the left side of the road - as the guide said - blue sky and white clouds, colorful forests, and colorful roofs. , clear creeks, neat meadows, wooden fences, wooden houses - however, all these beautiful scenery have lost their appeal in our hearts. At this moment, we have only one thought - ride quickly! Otherwise, it will be troublesome to walk in the dark at night! But at this time, Hippo and I were already at the end of our efforts, and we no longer had the energy to speed up. On the one hand, I was anxious as night slowly fell, but on the other hand, I was physically weak and in a state of complete collapse! Finally, about 10 kilometers away from Lulang, I almost completely collapsed. I couldn't lift my spirits. If it hadn't been for the call from the destination ahead, I would have collapsed on the ground. In a word: If you don’t want to ride, you can’t ride!

▲ Riding on such a road should be refreshing, but unfortunately we are too tired to appreciate it.

Finally, at nine o'clock in the evening, I finally saw a faint light appearing in front of me - Lu Lang has arrived! After calling the captain, we found the hotel where they were staying - it turned out that they had only arrived an hour earlier than us - after being exhausted, we wanted to completely relax and treat ourselves! Except for the captain, five of the six people unanimously decided to eat Lulang chicken! Even if it’s after 10pm, you still have to eat it! If you don’t eat Lulang Chicken when you arrive in Lulang, wouldn’t you be doing yourself a disservice? Negotiate the price with the boss - 280 yuan for one chicken. The boss now used a pressure cooker to cook it. We waited for a full hour and a half before we started eating at 10:40 and finished it at 11:40. After that, I hurriedly washed up and fell asleep - before going to bed, I asked the captain to return the money to me and Hippo. There was no need to torture myself like this anymore. On the way, we agreed with Hippo that we would not force them to run wildly without any reason. Lu Lang must rest for a day no matter what! One is to restore physical strength, and the other is to enjoy Lulang!

Reflection on the next day: If we stayed in Pailong, we would not be tired at all. We could ride slowly to Lulang the next day, arrive in Lulang early in the afternoon, and take photos of the beautiful scenery before Lulang. Wouldn’t it kill two birds with one stone?

Exactly: The bad road and the tight schedule forced the team to split up.
