Strategy
DAY0 Hangzhou——Pingxiang
There are many trains from Hangzhou to Pingxiang that leave in the evening and arrive in the morning. You can sleep overnight and arrive at Pingxiang Station from 5 to 8 o'clock.
DAY1 Longshan Village-Fayunjie-Qianzhangyan
After breakfast at Pingxiang Station, there were many carpool drivers at the entrance of Pingxiang Station. We agreed with the driver to take us to Longfa Mountain Villa, the starting point for climbing in Longshan Village. The cost was about 40 yuan per person and we arrived in one and a half hours.
Starting from the starting point of climbing in Longshan Village, from an altitude of more than 500 to more than 1,400, we climb continuously for more than 900 meters in the woods and rise to the ridge. The view suddenly broadens and we can see the alpine meadow landscape. This section takes about 3 hours.
After that, continue to go south along the ridge (towards Jinding), passing Fayunjie, Fengcheukou and Qianzhangyan in sequence, which takes about 2 hours. In this section, you can enjoy the alpine meadow landscape.
From Fayunjie to Qianzhangyan, there are many inns along the way, with about 30 to 50 beds each (prices increase during festivals). If you arrive at Fayunjie early that day, it is recommended to continue walking and reduce your itinerary for the next day.
DAY2 Despair Slope—Golden Summit—Scenic Area Gate
Today's trip is a bit long, so we recommend starting early. Pass through the Haohan Slope, the Despair Slope, the horse-drafting pile, and finally reach the Golden Summit.
Jinding is the main peak of Wugong Mountain, with an altitude of 1918 meters. It has been developed into a scenic spot with a wide view. The ancient altar group can be seen on the top of the mountain. It’s also great to camp at Golden Summit for one night and watch the sunrise and sunset.
From the Golden Summit to the gate of the scenic spot, you need to descend continuously for more than 1,200 meters along the stone steps, and the scenery is average. It is recommended to take the scenic cable car, otherwise it will take time and hurt your knees.
Carpool at the gate of the scenic spot back to Pingxiang Station (Pingxiang East Station) and take a sleeper berth back to Hangzhou.
Summarize
The weather has been very good these two days, occasionally cloudy and not sunny at all. Especially the clouds and mists change unpredictable. Walking on the ridge shrouded in mist, the visibility was only a few meters. Suddenly, the direction of the mountain wind suddenly changed. Within ten seconds, the fog blew away, and the nearby mountain peaks and meadows were clearly visible. It was very strange.
It's a pity that I didn't see the sunrise and the sea of clouds. But why not save your expectations for next time? I will walk to Wugong Mountain at least once again, in autumn and winter, to see the withered meadows and take the complete route from Jinding to Mingyue Mountain in Yichun.
I want to go somewhere as early as possible, always thinking that everything will be ready before setting off, but I never wait until that time, and I will miss a lot over the years. (Same goes for other things too)
